The Hare & Hounds holiday cottage is a delightful Georgian Town House in the beautiful market town of Ashbourne 'The Gateway to Dovedale'.
The cottage has been lovingly restored enhancing the character & charm of this beautiful property whilst providing all modern comforts & conveniences. The log burner creates a warm & cosy atmosphere to unwind in ( with extra help from the secondary glazing and gas central heating.)
The house has a newly fitted modern kitchen and bathroom. The original fireplaces, comfortable settees, antique furniture, original pictures and other traditional features combine to create a stylish yet relaxing home from home.
Hare and Hounds offers flexible sleeping options with three bedrooms, two double and one bedroom has a zip & link bed that can be used as King size bed or twin single beds.
There is a lovely courtyard to the rear of the house with potted shrubs, plants and plenty of fresh herbs . There is also a BBQ with good quality table and seating. There is also off road parking.
There are many walks from the door: Tissington trail 2 mins away, Dovedale 5 mins,
For those who like historical sites Chatsworth, Haddon Hall and Keddleston Hall amongst many others are all nearby.
Activity seekers will be kept busy at Carsington Water only 10 minutes away, with its sailing, canoeing, cycling around the lake. The world renowned Alton Towers is 20 minutes away.

For those looking for an action packed adventure then the many activity centres dotted around will ensure your trip is packed full. From traditional shooting to rock climbing and wind surfing. Alton Towers is just half an hour away for any thrill seekers.
There are plenty of walks in all directions from the house including the Tissington Trail and the High Peak trail.
Carsington Water is a ten minute drive away where there are plenty of activities; Sailing, windsurfing, raft building bike hire and climbing wall.
For those with a passion for historical Houses, Chatsworth, Sudbury Hall, Hardwick Hall, Kedleston Hall, Tissington Hall just to name a few are all within easy drive from Ashbourne. Matlock Bath, Bakewell and Buxton are all within half an hour drive.
Set in the rolling hills of the Peak District, the Historic town of Ashbourne is brimming with independent shops. Renowned as a popular place for antiquing, its cafes and restaurants nestle comfortably around the cobbled streets and Market place.
The hidden alleyways and yards are a delight to explore, and the wide and elegant Church Street is considered to be the finest street of Georgian buildings in Derbyshire.
Ashbourne offers a wide selection of fine pubs and eateries. Traditional butchers, bakers and an excellent fish and game monger will ensure you can taste the abundance of local produce.
Ashbourne is known as the gateway to Dovedale and it really does act as a great place to base yourself, with public transport linking you to the surrounding areas nearby. Trains from nearby Derby are only 1.45hrs from London.
