This is an ideal location for trips to Europe with sailings from Dover and Folkestone.
Fully furnished to a high standard, with a fully fitted kitchen. The sitting room has a Digital (Freeview) TV w/DVD player. The cottage has two double bedrooms sleeping 4. The master has an en-suite shower-room. The second has two single beds. There is also a family bathroom.

The Kent region
We are located in the hamlet of Barnsole, just along the road from our local vineyard. We have two pubs and a church in the village. The region is well known for cycling and walking, with many footpaths to other villages, e.g. Ash. We are ideally situated for all the Thanet beaches. Sandwich Bay is the nearest beach, with Ramsgate, Broadstairs and Minnis Bay on the sandy side of the isle. We have Howletts and Port Lympe wild life parks within a short radius and the Wingham Wild Life Park (2 miles) has plenty to entertain the whole family.
There is Folk week in Broadstairs, and Sandwich has many Fairs throughout the summer, including the French Fair and the Medieval Fair, Canterbury is oozing with history and interesting places to visit including Museums and the Marlowe Theatre.
We are only 12 miles from Dover, another Town steeped with history and the opportunity to catch a ferry over to France for the day.
Piglet Place is an ideal retreat – with secure parking and privacy. There are entertainments if you want them – swimming in the pool, walking in the wood or playing on the pitch and put; relaxing under the patio, or BBQ in the garden. Our woodland has wild orchids in June/July, and bluebells in May. At Easter time the primroses are blooming and the birds, rabbits and pheasants are easy to spot.
The village has many Public Rights of Way for walking and if you don't want to walk or cycle the bus goes through the village every half an hour to Canterbury or Dover.
Our cottage is full of information on places to visit during your stay. Golfing, Steam Railways, Antique hunting, and all the beaches from Hythe, Folkestone, Dover, Deal, Ramsgate, Margate, Broadstairs, Birchington, Whitstable and Herne Bay, with Bays in between.
With three Castles, Dover, Walmer and Deal all within 12 miles the area is steeped with history. Sandwich has a market on Thursdays, and its restaurants and shops make this Medieval Town even more interesting. From here you can boat up the River Stour and access the Private Beach at Sandwich Bay, where the bird-watching is appealing.
Come and see for yourself – soon.
