The Mallorca/Majorca region
Mallorca has excellent weather from late March to early November. It is a place of many contrasts from the chic city of Palma to the rugged beauty of the north coast. From sandy beaches to unspoilt hidden coves there is something to suit every visitor to this popular island.
Arta / Betlem area
Betlem is a small quiet urbanisation of mainly holiday homes set amongst pine trees in a protected area of natural beauty. It has two local restaurants of a high standard, one of which overlooks the sea giving stunning views across the Bay of Alcudia.
The neighbouring village of Colonia Sant Pere (3km) has a colourful promenade with a small sandy beach, a Marina, 2 banks, 2 small supermarkets and numerous restaurants, many overlooking the sea.
The area makes an excellent base for activities such as golf, cycling, walking or just exploring the local coastal paths.
The nearby historic town of Arta is 9km away with it's interesting hilltop church giving spectacular views overlooking the town and across to the east coast.
How to get there
Fly to Palma Airport. Take the MA-15 signposted to Manacor. Stay on the MA-15 until you reach Arta, then take the MA-12 signposted to Alcudia. After a short while look out for a sign to Colonia St Pere. Continue down this road until you see the sign to Betlem which is a few minutes drive from Colonia. Further instructions will be supplied with your booking confirmation.
