Alcudia is a short drive away if you want to visit amusements, shopping, 'bright lights' or the beach. Porto Pollensa is worth a visit and the old town of Pollensa and it's square are full of charm.
The local town of Arta with its Romanesque setting with the church on the Mount, amidst valleys of hills and trees creates a super setting. It has several restaurants and the Market on Tuesday mornings must be visited to enjoy the atmosphere,the hustle and bustle with the chance of getting a bargain.

Enjoying mild and pleasant winters, the island bursts into life during spring and summer with excellent dry weather, hot sunshine and temperatures reaching a consistent average of 75f - 85f from May - October. If you don't want to just relax by the inviting large free-form outdoor pool, the local beach areas offer an alternative relaxing retreat. However, if you want to visit the established holiday beaches of Cala Rajada, Cala Mosquideo, Cala Agulla, Can Picafort, Alcudia, they all provide a lively fun packed time on the beach with various sports and activities and are only a 20 minute drive away.

By contrast, a twenty minute drive either to the west or the east, enables you to visit Alcudia or Cala Rajada respectively, where one can enjoy a different experience with the 'bright lights', multiple bars, restaurants, shopping, amusements, kiddies play parks/fairs, boat trips, etc.There is something for every person's personal taste but the one consistent availability is the excellent 'sun, sea and sand'.
