The Andalucia region
The Costa Del Sol is pretty much an all year round weather resort with more than 300 days of sunshine per year. There are plenty places of interest to visit or you can just relax and unwind. Malaga, Seville, Granada, Cordoba or the Sierra Nevada mountains in the winter for skiing are all within easy travelling distances by car or train. The famous Rock of Gibraltar is only an hours drive away.
Benalmadena is located between Fuengirola and Torremolinos. These are both easily accessible by public transport, either by train or bus. Malaga is a 15-20 minute drive away and has the Picaso museum, Open Top Bus Tour and many other things to do and places to see. The choice is yours.
Arroyo De La Miel
Benalmadena is split into three areas being Benalmadena Pueblo the old Spanish style village, Arroyo De La Miel the busy town area where you will find the train station and Benalmadena Costa, the beach area.
Benalmadena Pueblo has a quiet pace of life with white washed Spanish houses and a lovely square which is an ideal place to stop and have lunch. The church is worth a visit and outside has stunning views down to the coast. The local bull ring is here too.
Arroyo De la Miel is a much busier area with shops and restaurants. Tivoli World Amusement Park is in Arroyo and this is where they hold the local Friday market. The cable car runs from here and at the top you will be rewarded with a falconry display.
Benalmadena Costa is the coastal area where you will find the world famous Puerto Marina. There is plenty to keep the younger ones occupied with Sealife Centre, Dolphinarium, Mini Golf and the lovely Parque de la Paloma.

We stayed in Monte Rosa for 5 days and absolutely loved it! This was the first time I have booked a villa online and from the start Ann made everything so simple for me she was very friendly and helpful.
On arrival we had booked a transfer from the airport and was greeted on time and after a quick journey we were at the villa and I was not disappointed in the slightest! The villa is fabulous, it has everything you need and more and was lovely and clean on our arrival! It has a huge pool with a lovely garden and terraces to eat on or sit in the shade and escape the sun for a while.
It is a nice walk into arroyo de la miel from the villa which has all the shops, bars and restaurants anyone could want. Around a 20 minute walk and you can be on the beautiful beaches of Benalmadena. The the villa is just far enough out in a lovely and peaceful location.
Thank you so much for your help and a great stay!! See you next year :)

"Amazing and private villa"
This villa is in a residential part of Benalmadena. It's private with a great pool. There is everything you could want in the villa. The supermarket is just a few minutes up the road. There are regular busses into Arroyo de la Miel where there's a station, taxis, restaurants, bars and shops. The bus also takes you down to the Costa where the beach is and more shops and restaurants . The Marina is a must either to dine or shop.
You will NOT be disappointed with this villa for your holiday. I stayed there with my sister and niece. Had such a comfortable stay with a barbecue most nights. The villa is very secure so no need to worry about valuables and was spotless when we arrived.
The weather was amazing so we made the most of the pool, lying on the sun beds with cocktails!!!!!
The transfers organised by company were spot on and a must. We were met from the plane taken to the villa where everything was explained and picked up for our homeward journey in plenty of time.

"Amazing villa, cannot wait to come back"
We spent 10 days here in August 2013, a family of 4 (children 10 & 8). What a wonderful villa!
The villa is spotlessly clean, very secure and very private. The lounge area is nice and airy. The kitchen fully equipped with everything you need, even a shopping trolley which came in very handy bringing home shopping from the supermarket. The bedrooms have plenty of storage and VERY comfortable beds. And although the villa doesn't have aircon, the location of the bedrooms (shady side of the villa) meant that we were never hot at night. There are ceiling fans in every room too. Having 2 bathrooms was a definite plus with a family.
The pool area is amazing, with plenty of comfy sunloungers and we spent a lot of time here.
We used the sunny terrace on an evening when we would return from being, was just beautiful to sit out there on an evening.
The location is about a ten minute walk to the supermarket (SuperSol) and about 5 mins further on into Arroyo, which had a lovely feel to it. Plenty of bars, restaurants but with a nice and chilled out atmosphere. Kids were happy as Tivoli World so close. Also went up in the cable cars and down to the dolphinarium.
The walk back up to the villa in the daytime can be a bit of a scorcher, evenings were fine, however a taxi from Arroyo train station ranged from only 5 to 7 euros .
Very cheap train that runs as far as Fuengirola to the west and Malaga to the east.
We took advantage of the transfer from the airport with Nigel (Ann's husband). Having very late flight times we were so glad we did this. Nigel was there when we arrived and arrived promptly to take us back, dropping us right outside the part of the terminal where we had to check in (which saved a lot of walking). Thank you!!
I would highly recommend this villa and am hoping to book for next year once our holiday dates are confirmed.
Ann and Nigel, should be commended for their professionalism throughout, right from the booking at the start to the drop off at the airport. Hopefully see you in 2014!!
Thank you for such a lovely review, see you in 2014 :)

we've stayed here a few times and we've even booked for next year. Great value for money, Hugh pool, clean villa and very very private.
There is on street parking, but we've stayed here once without car hire with no problems. There is a fab train a short walk away, and the taxi's are very reasonable.
Ann and her husband are really helpful, really accommodating.

"perfect in every way"
1st time staying in a villa and won't be the last, everything from the booking of the villa to the collections at the airport went great. The villa is in a great location with 2 very cheap supermarkets within a short 10 min walk. The villa is very close to tivoli which was great for our kids as they were desperate to visit. The villa has a 10m pool which we had great fun in and also catches the sun from 9 am onwards.i would definitely recomment this property to any family as it is very secure and private, we will definitely be back at it in the future.

"A lovely family villa with everything you need in a beutiful setting"
Our first time in a villa, never ever have an appartment again! The villa was spotless, had everthing you needed, very secure and private but just a ten minute walk into town. Lovely garden and private pool - the pictures do not do it justice. Train station and bus local and good service to get around. Transfers booked with villa and would recommend to take any stress out of your journey

"Excellant property, clean, spacious and secluded."
We, two 50 year olds and two not quite 80, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property provides a secluded pool and garden. The one problem we had was dealt with swiftly by Anne and Nigel. The Villa is situated in quite a hilly location, which would be a problem for those with mobility problems, but Taxi's cheap enough.
I would certainly recommend this property, and will also be looking to rebook in the near future.

"A truly Spanish Villa"
Me and my partner stayed here with 2 teenagers and a toddler, we fell in love with the villa as soon as we walked in the gate. The pool is massive for a private pool, shame there isn't a toddler … More

"Spaceous, comfortable, ideally located and child friendly."
We have just visited the villa for the second time and on both occasion's found the villa extreamly comfortable. The large private pool was a definate plus as well as the gorgeous sunny terrace.
The bedrooms were of good size, the larger with en-suite. The kitchen amenities were excellent and the barbacue next to the sunny terrace was ideal.
The villa is child friendly and the t.v, video and d.v.d came in handy for the one day of rain we did experience.
The shady terrace was welcomed after a red hot few hours around the pool.
The villa is located close to two large supermakets, a selection of friendly bars and restaurants.
The bus stop that is also close by can take you up to the beautiful spanish village or down to the beach. It is however only a 30 minute walk down to the sea front which also has a large park ideal for kids and or picnics. Another 15 minute walk and you come to the harbour with a sea life centre.
Just down from the villa is the cable cars which take you up into the mountains where there are beautiful views along with show's including a bird of prey show. Also opposite the cable cars is a large theme park type attraction, ideal for kids.
Just up from the villa you can find a golf club although this is somewhere i did not visit so cannot comment on it being ideal.
This villa is ideal if your looking for a relaxing holiday around the pool and some easy days visiting local attractions, but if your looking for the nightlife then it is only a short taxi or bus ride away down to the sea front.
Monta Rosa was the first villa we tried and since trying it i can honestly say a villa holiday is definatly best.
