Seaside property just 100 metres from the sea with solar heated pool shared with just 6 villas, in the tranquil coastal village of Punta Mujeres. The villa has been designed with young children in mind and is fitted with stair gates, has cot and high chari provided. The fully fitted kitchen, living/dining room, in on the ground floor along with the bathroom On the top floor you have the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, sunny balcony & sea views. The laundry, drying area and bikes are on the basement floor. The front terrace is fenced and gated and overlooks the pool area.
Punta Mujeres has the beauty of being a tranquil Canarian Fishing Village with plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, bakers, sea front tapas bars etc, all within walking distance from the villa. In the village there is a pebble beach which is great for snorkeling and natural sea pools which are protected from any waves.
This part of the Lanzarote coast is renowned for its spectacular beaches, one of which is in Arrieta the neighbouring village the black sand beach is great for surfing or just playing in the waves, there is a beach bar, children's play park and showers etc. The island´s only 18 hole golf course, situated in Costa Teguise, is only a 15 minute drive away. Here you will also find the water park, bike, surf & windsurf rental.

The Lanzarote region

Lanzarote off the northwestern coast of Africa is blessed with abundant year round sunshine, cooling trade winds, volcanic peaks and stunning child friendly beaches ranging from fine white sand to black volcanic sand. The Island is 37 miles long and 20 wide it is a perfect year round destination for sun seekers and water sports enthusiasts. There is a wealth of things to do on Lanzarote from spectacular sight seeing to diving, snorkeling, windsurf, kite surf and surf etc...
The villa is located in the village of Punta Mujeres which is a traditional fishing village, and has become well know for its sea front fish restaurants and its quaint canarian feel. The village also offers a coffee shops, supermarket, bakers, beach bar, numerous restaurants etc... The restaurants are open everyday from Noon until 12pm and do get booked up for the weekend lunches so it is always best to book a table!!

Arrieta / Punta Mujeres area

Attractions within 10 Min's drive include the Bird Park , Cactus Garden, Mirador del Rio, Green Caves and the Valley of a Thousand Palms. In The mountain village of Haria there is a Saturday morning local craft market here you can see various craft men at work. The village of Arrieta boasts one of the best family beaches on the island which has a tapas beach bar and restaurant, toilets and shower facilities. This is a stunning location to enjoy the unusual black sands and the scenic mountain landscape of rural Lanzarote. The historic village of Teguise, where you can take a stroll through the meandering lanes and watch local artists at work or visit the Sunday Market, is a 15 min drive. The island's capital is 30 minutes drive, where the airport is located. The island's only 18 hole golf course, situated in Costa Teguise, is a 15 min drive away.

You are able to take a Taxi from the airport or we can arrange a VIP pick up which includes a bottle sparkling wine so you arrive in style at your villa.
We can also arrange car hire for you & can send you detailed directions. If you have any problem en-route then just call!! The house is approx 30 mins drive from the airport.

This semi-detached villa is fully equipped for your holiday needs, all linen & house towels provided. On the ground floor there is the fully fitted kitchen, living/dining room with TV with spanish channels & DVD player, The terrace is south facing and is gated to the pool area. The twin bedroom and bathroom is also on this level. On the top floor you have the master bedroom with dressing area en-suite bathroom and second bedroom which has bunk beds and a travel cot. There is also a neighbouring propery within the complex also available for holiday lets this is ideal for 2 Families to rent on the same small complex but be independent.

The Terrace which is off the living room has BBQ, Sun loungers and table chairs and sun shade.
The access to the pool is via the front terrace which leads onto the shared pool area.

Guestbook for Casa Hibiscus

Casa Hibiscus and Casa Lila, Had a great week, taking over two of the Punta Mujeres houses for our gang of eight. This bit of the island is a real find - simple fishing village, local restaurants, rock pools, fishing, no tacky touristy distractions. The properties are great, but we have our eyes on the eco ranch for next year! Thanks once again, Jacquie and Jonathan

Casa Hibiscus, We had such a lovely time in Punta Mujeres. Tila and Michelle made us very welcome and did everything possible to help - supplying extra hair dryer, road map, tourist guide and last night bbq! The house was lovely and the facilities just what was needed by a small young family. Visiting the eco-village was great and the free eggs fantastic. Hope to come back soon!

We were at Villa Hibiscus at Punta Mujeres in March 2008. Just what we wanted. Quite and secluded in a pretty village with several good and very friendly restaurants. After a lazy day with a bit of siteseeing there was nothing nicer than to sit by the gurgling pool with a pre-dinner drink! - George and Anne

Had a fine break during August in Casa Hibiscus. Punta Mujeres is a great spot from which to explore the island, with some good beaches nearby. The famous, constant Lanzarote breeze meant that our fears about bringing young children in high Summer were unfounded.
Michelle from Lanzarote Retreats was very helpful and friendly (and assistance finding a local babysitter was greatly appreciated) and the accommodation at Casa Hibiscus was well suited to our needs. The Rutter Family
