The original cultivation systems of the countryfolk, who have learned how to overcome the island's sterility and fill the lava with exuberant growth, is another focus of attraction for visitors.

The benignity of the climate sould not be overlooked; an annual average temperature of 22 º C. makes Lanzarote an ideal location for the practice all kinds of outdoor activities.

"Good location"

It was lovely to be right by the sea although because the apartment is east facing it was often in shade - useful in the hotter months but it was rather windy and cloudy while we were there. The apart… More

".......there is room for improvement.........."

The setting is very good, right next to the seaside, you can't get any closer. The view is fantastic. The village is out of the beaten path, with very few tourists, or if any , local tourism. If you want to experience what it is to live in a typical local village , this is the place to stay. This goes with the good and the not so good.
When neighbours decide to stop gets quiet. Otherwise you can hear all the issues and problems everybody has , the amount of chatting and shouting is heavy. Additionally , the bedroom lies right next to the road behind, so at 6 in the morning when you get people going to work or the trash recollection truck going hear them as going through your bedroom.
If you are planning to cook some good spanish food ( gambas al ajillo), be prepared to smell like garlic for at least a full day...the kitchen does not have an extractor, so all the odours stay in the living room.
The internet connection is a sort of "arrangement" with a neighbour's connection, it is weak, slow and frequently interrupted......also you can only access it in the bedroom, by sticking the computer to the window......not the ideal.
If you speak german the TV arrangement is great, it is full of german channels, any other language and you are better off reading a book. Besides the TV set has the size of a small laptop, if you are not close enough , you need eagle eyes.
We stayed two weeks , the owner came the second day of our arrival, to cash the rent, and we barely saw him once again during the whole stay, either he is very timid or he did not care how we felt about the place.
The best thing is that there is a neighbour woman that cleans the appartment and takes care of letting you in when you first get there, she was of great help, she sort of solved all our issues to the best of her possibilities.
