About the home

This bright, large brand new apartment consists of 3 large double bedrooms, ideal for families, couples or golfers who want a bit of class on their holidays. The rooms have one huge double bed, and four single beds. It also has a good sized swimming pool and a small pool for the kids. The apartment is just a short stroll to the centre of Armacao De Pera and the longest sandy beach on the Algarve. You have such a range of restaurants, bars and cafes that you will be spoilt for choice.
Nearby attractions include Zoomarine, where you can swim with the dolphins, or the huge Aqualand water park with its many water features. The Algarve shopping Centre is also close by in the town of Guia which includes a large variety of shops, cinemas, a huge food hall and a bowling alley. All of these attractions are within easy access of the apartment either by bus, taxi or car. Local buses also run to Afbufeira, Faro, Portimao and Lagos. Also situated close by are many world class golf courses, Salgados 18 hole Golf Club being the closest.

Please note that as I am living in Australia there is a plus 8 hour time difference.

Bookings can be made either by email or telephone. A deposit of £100 is required when booking with the balance payable within 6 weeks of the arrival date. (we will hold the booking for 3 days to enable you to arrange travel plans). A breakage deposit of a £200 is also required to be paid to our property manager on arrival and will be refunded after key return and apartment inspection. We would ask you not to smoke in the building however smoking on the balcony area is fine. Apartment is to be vacated by 10am to enable cleaners to clean (please check as if there is no guest arriving on the same day this can be changed). The apartment is advailable from 12.30pm once again check as if there are no guests leaving on that day earlier arrivals will be accepted.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region

The Algarve is the region to the south of Portugal, on the south west tip of Europe. It is Europe's sunniest spot, a unique jewel where the finest beaches and weather on the continent meet traditional and historic Portugal.

Armacao De Pera is in the region known as Central Algarve, close to the busy towns of Albufeira, Portimao and the old Moorish capital of Silves with its magnificent walls and castle. It boasts the longest beaches on the Algarve. During the summer months it is very popular with Portugesse families, but outside the top of the season it offers a wonderful peaceful holiday location. You will be amazed at the choice of restaurants and cafes and the friendly atmosphere and charm of the place. It offers a great year round holiday resort ideal for families,couples and golfers due to the world class golf courses all within a short distance of the apartment.

The Armacao de Pera area

Armacao De Pera until recently was nothing more than a collection of small fishing shacks where locals from the nearby village of Pera use to maintain there fishing boats. The fishermans beach is still in use today and you will see tourists and fishermen mingling together as they inspect their latest catch. There is also fish and fruit markets where you can bag a bargain or just stroll amoung the locals as they go about their bussiness.

A huge attraction to Armacao De Pera is the Zoomarine, a huge marine park with sharks, dolphins and other sea creatures. Here a single ticket gives the visitor access to an area of leisure, entertainment and education. You can also interact with the dolphins and get to swim with them if you choose. The marine park is open all year round and is within a short drive of the apartment.

Another attraction for all the family is the huge Aqualand, one of the biggest water parks in Europe. Here you will find the world famous Banzai Boggan ride, a vertical drop of 23 metres where you get to surf your board at the end of, the sort of ride that you will tell your friends about.

For the golfers Salgados Golf Club is within a short distance of Armacao De Pera. This is a 18 hole golf course which has a modern clubhouse, restaurant and bar / terrace, beach bar as well as a driving range.

One of the most beautiful attactions to Armacao De Pera is the rugged coastline just north of the town. Whether you choose to explore it on foot or go by boat in and around the caves you wil be astounded by the natural beauty of this unique area. Stand at the tiny chapel of Nossa Senhora da Rocha (Our Lady of the Rocks) which stands 30m high on a cliff edge above one of the finest beaches on the Algarve, a sight that will remain with you for a long time.

Armacao De Pera has everthing you need for a lovely holiday, fantastic beaches, shops, supermarkets, restaurants and bars. It is also placed for a day out at Zoomarine sea life park, a trip to the Algarve Shopping Centre, the Aqualand Water Park or to the many golf courses near to the town.

“fantastic holiday” we had a great stay. apartment was very clean, modern, had air conditioning, get location - short walk to beach (400m approx). nice town with a great beach. the weather was great and it wasnt too busy (we went in June) just locals using beach mainly, hardly any tourists which was nice. had loads of resturants and ice cream places. very relaxing holiday. went jet skiing and swimming in the sea. one of my favourite holidays ever!

We all had a wonderful time at your apartment. The beds were very comfortable, slept well each night, although after the cocktails we were drinking I could have slept on a bed of nails!!
Weather was fantastic and we went to Kippers Bar and saw Miguel and Annie.

Just a quick e-mail to say that we toughroughly enjoyed our holiday at your apartment - the weather was baking and the kids enjoyed the pool, making friends with the many Irish and Scottish kids there. All the people that we met were lovely and we adored all the food, fresh fish etc. Think we picked a great 12 days as hear it has been this cold and rainy since we went away..... roll on next years holiday!.

I hope you are well. This is a bit of an odd question, but maybe you can help.

My husband suffers from some back problems and is quite particular about mattresses and beds. While we were on holiday at your apartment, he slept really well and the mattress in the master bedroom was perfect. I was wondering if you would remember the brand or the type of mattress, as we forgot to have a look before we left. I assume it was purchased in Portugal but maybe is a brand they have here in the Uk too? If you don't remember, no worries - just thought to see if it's something you know off the top of your head.
