Armacao de Pera is a fishermen's town with a long sandy beach. It is ideal for swimming and walking. Tennis and goal facilities are close by. Armacao de Pera is in the centre of the Algarve and is ideal to visit the west and east coast. It is 15 km from Silves, a well preserved mauren town. There are regular bus trips to Lisbon and Spain (e.g., Sevil), which make perfect day trips.
The Algarve region benefits from a typical Mediterranean climate, with warm sunny days and Summer and mild winters.
