The Algarve region
The Algarve is one of the world's most attractive holiday destinations. It is not over-developed and the coastline with its miles of golden beaches, dunes and coves enclosed by rocks and cliffs remains completely unspoilt. A few miles inland and life is much as it has been for centuries, with orchards, farmland and green meadows. Towards the hills there are terraces dotted with almond and fig plantations.
The mediterranean plants and trees put on a magnificent show throughout the year and there are plenty of nature parks and sanctuaries along the whole of the Algarve that attract many animals and birds. The Moors left a considerable legacy which can still be seen today in the medinas, fortresses and mosques they left behind as well as being reflected in the traditional Algarvian architecture and the way of life of the people.
The Algarve region is blessed with a wonderful climate, ideal for swimming, sunbathing and water sports in summer, and mild enough in spring, autumn and winter for tennis, golf, clifftop or countryside walking, exploring and sightseeing.
Places of interest include the region's capital Faro and its old town, Loule and its market situated in a recently renovated Moorish building, Silves and its red fortress, Caldas de Monchique for its thermal waters, Portimao and its old town and port, Lagos for its vitality and historical interest and Cabo de S. Vicente with its imposing light-house.
Armacao de Pera / Quinta dos Arcos area
You will be close to a range of waterparks, wildlife attractions and superb dry land or boat excursions. If you are looking for golf the range of famous golf courses are all near to you here. Faro airport is only a 30 minutes drive. Lisbon airport is approximately 2 1/2 hours drive. Albufiera, Porches/ Carvoiero are 15 minutes by car. The historical town of Lagos with fabulous shops, market, bars, restaurants and the Marina is approx. 30 minutes by car.
The most south westerly point in Europe, Sagres, is approx. 50 minutes by car and then makes your way up to the deserted sandy beaches along the west coast.
A day out to the Monchique moutains is highly recommended you can try the local dish of chicken piri piri and visit the historical town of Silves, both approx 20 minutes by car

Refundable breakages deposit of £150/ credit card details is required on arrival, to be refunded on your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of rental fee required to secure booking. Balance payment is due 6 weeks before the start of the rental period.
