The Algarve / Central Algarve region
The Algarve is best known for its beaches and allround weather.The main town of Albufeira is known for its nightlife with over 1000 bars and restaurants within a km of each other.
The Algarve has the best beaches in Portugal and most of them are award winning European blue flag beaches. The Algarve has also strong links to the moors and spain with its history and buildings. The Algarve also has many roman ruins to view and on many beaches roman artifacts get washed up. The weather is good for about 300 days a year.
Armacao de Pera / Quinta dos Arcos area
The beaches are a great asset to Armacao de pera and the local fish restaurants and the international restaurants are from all over the world.
The sand festival attracts 1000´s of tourists every year and is a must visit festival Armacao de pera has festivals all year around. The aqua park zoo marine is 5 minutes away and aqua land, daily boat trips leave Albufeira marina to go whale watching or swim with the dolphins and also water cave trips are exciting to do. There is also trips to Lisbon that can be arranged for shopping or sir cliff richards vinyard.

Further details outdoors: The town of armacao de pera is very cosmopolitian and also typicaly portugese with two sides one being an old fishing village with its typical housing and fish restaurants overlooking the bay.
The other side is ultra modern with its new buildings and a large selection of international restaurants ,bars and cafes.
The town is 6 kms away from albufeira but the beach joins the two up so a walk along the beach gets you to albufeira or a taxi ride costs 4 euros.
The famous Zoo Marine with its interactive dolphins is only 5 minutes away and you can catch a free bus to it from its many drop off points in aramacaco de pera .There is a sand festival held every year starting in june and ending in october artists from all over the world gather to sculped the sand into art forms.
There are two golf courses within a five minute drive and you can get discounted rates. The beach at armacao de pera is great for that romantic end to your day by watching the sun go down as you stroll home .
