The Algarve region

Armacao de Pera / Alporchinhos area
Armaçao de Pêra, once a tiny fishing village, has grown along it ´s wonderful palm tree fringed beach front promenade. You can still watch the local fisherman bring their daily catch in on the beach and then take it to the market or the local restaurants which are to be found on the seafront. Traditional portuguese cafes in the cobbled streets are ideal for watching the world pass by. A variety of watersports are also avaiable during most of the day in the vast sandy beach.
