The bedrooms, living room and kitchen all have patio doors leading out onto the balcony with built in BBQ. The long balcony which is South West facing has the sun from mid day and is ideal for al-fresco dining and watching the sunset.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region
The coast of Algarve has numerous spectacular rock formations, that divide the beaches, creating quaint private paradises. Many of the beaches are bordered by beautiful sand cliffs, which merge with pine trees, creating a feast of nature that is unmatched anywhere else.
There are about 100 sandy attractive beaches washed by the Atlantic Ocean and due to the maritime shelf and water currents the sea temperature can be often be surprisingly warm even in some of the winter months. Located on the tip of Europe with the vast ocean of the Atlantic as its southern and western border, this enviable position gives this region possibly the most unpolluted climate in the European continent.
The Algarve is one of the sunniest regions in Europe making it the ideal holiday choice for either a summer vacation or a long winter retreat.
The Armacao de Pera / Quinta dos Arcos area
Armacao de Pera is situated on the south coast of Portugal, between the busier resorts of Albufeira and Portimao. The resort name is derived from its days as a commercial fishing village - 'armacao' means tuna net, and 'Pera' was the name of a nearby village - the fishing net of Pera. Today, the charms from those centuries can still be found in the old town with its narrow streets, traditional markets, shops and fishing cottages. The newly completed promonade is host to summer night entertainers and market stalls trading until the early hours. There is an excellent selection of restaurants, bars and even a disco or two.
The resort boasts one of the longest stretches of beach in Portugal. The wide sandy beach with shallow waters offers numerous water sports including jet ski's, wind surfing, banana boats, pedaloes and boat trips through the caves. On the fishermans beach you can watch the fisherman bring in their catch and tend their nets. Dotted along the beach is various beach bars serving cold drinks and snacks and meals specialising in fresh fish of the day.

Armacao de Pera is located only 45 km from Faro International Airport which is serviced by most of the major Low Cost Airlines from the UK and Ireland.
The Airlines Include; Easyjet, Flybe, Jet2, BMIbaby, Flyglobespan & Ryanair.
Car Hire from the airport starts from only £15 per day alternativley there's a shuttle bus service which runs regularly from the airport to all the resorts or a transfer can be arranged for 45 euro each way.

We stayed at the Brisamar in July 2011 and there were three of us. My husband, myself and our 20 year old son. We needed an apartment that gave us all some privacy and space and we weren't let down. The flat is lovely and has everything you will need for a great stay in Armacao. It does have a swimming pool, but it is a bit disappointing as it is all concrete and quite a small area. The pool is fine though, and if you had younger children and wanted them in the pool, by taking down some extra chairs and bits, you could make yourself quite comfortable down there, it isn't huge though.
However, if you go to Armacao, you go for the beach! which is always glorious and doesnt let you down. A wonderful long sandy beach stretching for miles. We tend to eat out when we stay in an apartment and there are some great places to eat in the town.
if you have a car, it is worth travelling to Lagos for a day. A really lovely old town which has grown somewhat since we went on our honeymoon many years ago.
We have been to Armacao many times. This apartment is very central. Close to the market and shops. Armacao has everything you need for a really great holiday in the sun.
