Although the apartment is situated in a quiet location, it's just five minutes walk to many bars, excellent restaurants, shops and all amenities. The nearby rural village of Pera remains as a reminder of the un-spoilt typical sleepy Algarve. Nearby places of interest are the market towns of Algoz, Alcantarilha, Porches and the inland historic and attractive city of Silves with its magnificent walls and castle. Armacao is the golfer's dream, with numerous golf courses only a drive away. 15 minutes to the lively Albufiera, the Algarve shopping centre and 10 minutes to the fabulous 'Zoo Marine' and many more attractions for all age groups.

Children should be supervised at all times both inside: considering (wet floors, patio doors, glass doors and balcony) and outside of the apartment, considering (balcony, swimming pools etc) to prevent accidents.
** CANCELLATIONS: Please note there will a charge if you decide to cancel following your confirmation of booking which will be based upon the timescale of your arrival date. For example if you decide to cancel from 14 days to 0 days prior to your arrival date you will receive 10% of the total cost.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region
The Algarve is host to one of the sunniest regions in Europe therefore, an attraction all year round for families and especially popular for golfers. The slight breeze makes it a comfortable climate in which to soak up the sunshine whilst lying amongst the rugged coatline. The Algarve has some of the most beautiful, golden sand beaches, ideal for walking along and exploring the coves and the cliffs. As the region is famous for its sea food, you can sit and watch the many fishermen bringing in their 'catch' and providing the restaurants with the freshest fish on offer. The food in the Algarve is varied and you will always find that special dish, from sea food to steak to the Portugese 'chicken piri piri', the beer and wine are not bad either ! Ultimately, you will love any part of the Algarve as it hosts the most beautiful coastline where you will always discover something hidden away, either a secret cove, a beautiful building, a favourite restaurant. Or you can go to just purely absorb the sunshine, which is plentiful.
The Armacao de Pera area
Armacao de Pera is a small town situated on the beautiful Algarve coast, boasting one of the finest longest sandy beaches. The new improved pedestrian walkways offers seating areas and fountains, with live entertainment during the high season. Armacao hosts a traditional fishing village with numerous fish restaurants that pride themselves on serving fresh fish. You can visit the traditional in door market where the locals sell their fresh produce of fruit, vegetables and fresh fish; sit on the beach or at one of the many sea front bars / restaurants watching the fishermen bring in their 'catch'. Places near to Armacao de Pera and of interest are the market towns of Algoz, Alcantarilha, Porches, the tradtional village of Pera and the inland historic and attractive city of Silves. The bustling town of Albufiera is just 15 minutes drive away along with the Algarve retail shopping complex, and 10 minutes drive to the fabulous 'Zoo Marine'. The Algarve is renowned as the golfers dream and there are plenty of golf courses to choose from, the nearest being 5 minutes drive with many more in the area. There are many, idealic routes to cycle and walk especially along the coast or more inland, rural destinations. There is something for everyone in Armacao de Pera, attractions for all age groups.

Armacao de Pera is just 30 minutes drive from Faro Airport, with easy access onto N125 motorway. Cheap flights are available from Easyjet, Globespan and other major airlines. Cheap car hire is available from Europcar but there is a local bus service from Faro Airport to Armacao de Pera. Local taxis run to and from the Airport on a regular basis.

good comfortable apartment , 10 mins from beaches , up a hill so need a bit of stamina to get up there . especially after a drink or two . Friendly other residents , nice pool although could do with a few more sun brollies and loungers. apartment well equipped ,third bed quite comfortable although a pull out, but really couldnt fault it .
Amacao fairly quiet at night .not that many bars but the old town is quite lively .
A couple of s/markets at the bottom of the hill with most of what you want but an Asda -type one about half mile away .
We really enjoyed it , good rates , recommend it .
