Situated 5 miles outside of Albufeira on the outskirts of the village of Pêra, Casa Catarina offers the opportunity to relax in the Algarvian sunshine, yet be close enough to other attractions including beaches, golf courses and water parks. The villa benefits from its own private pool, with a separate shallow pool perfect for the children. Leading from the lounge/diner is a spacious patio area furnished with a table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco. All 3 bedrooms are en-suite with patio doors leading onto the pool area. The villa is ideal for families, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay.

The Algarve region
The Algarve is a popular tourist destination yet retains much of the local culture particularly in inland areas. Temperatures can reach 40 degrees in the hot summer months but the effect is modified by the cooling breezes coming in from the Atlantic. Though many places were destroyed in the earthquake of 1755 there is still plenty to see in places such as Portimao, Silves and Lagos. Alternatively take a drive to the most south-westerly point in Europe, Cape St Vincent. or head east and explore the lovely countryside near the Spanish border.
Armacao de Pera / Pera area
Pera is a large village lying between Armacao de Pera and Albufeira. There are supermarkets, shops, cafes and small restaurants locally but a wider choice is located within a 5 minute drive. Nearby is the Aqualand water slide park whist the renowned Zoomarine park with its dolphins and other sea creatures is only a few minutes drive away. A golf course is also close by with many others located within a 20-25 minutes trip.
How to get there
The villa is located about a 45 minute drive from Faro airport. Many cheap airlines serve Faro including Easyjet, Monarch, Jet2 and Flybe. Car hire can be arranged or there are taxis which charge about 40 euros each way

Further details indoors: The villa sleeps 6 in 1 air-conditioned en-suite double bedroom and 2 twin bedrooms (both en-suite). All bedrooms have patio doors opening out to the pool area. There is a large air-conditioned lounge/dining-room area with digital satellite TV and hi-fi with patio doors opening onto the patio area. In addition there is a separate WC with washbasin and a fully fitted kitchen and utility room with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, built-in electric oven and gas hob.
Further details outdoors: There is a large patio area with kidney shape main pool and a smaller shallow pool which is ideal for young children. There is also a poolside shower. The pool can be heated (supplement of £140 per week) in the cooler months. Plenty of patio furniture is provided to relax or dine outside whilst enjoying the many shrubs and trees that comprise a beautiful mature garden.

Maid service is included as are all linen and towels (except beach towels). Cot, highchair and playpen are available for hire. A welcome pack is provided.
