Home description
This is one of our most popular gites because the owners have thought carefully about what's important to holidaymakers.
It a relatively new building, built in the traditional Provencal style, next door to the owners private villa. The owner obviously has a flair for interior design and has created a very comfortable 1 bedroom gite, ideal for 2 – 4 people.
It's beautifully furnished using local colours, fabrics and tiles, is spotlessly clean and has the bonus of air-conditioning.
You have direct (and gated) access to the lovely mature garden and swimming pool. Once you’ve cooled off in the pool, why not strike up the BBQ, pour a glass of local Rose and soak up the tranquil countryside around you!
Although this is a countryside setting, dominated by orchards, olive groves and vineyards, you’re only 3KM from shops and markets of Raphele, Pont du Crau and Arles.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Bouches-du-Rhone region
The gite is perfectly located for exploring the best of Provence. You are on the doorstep of the beautiful villages of the Alpilles, and equally, can easily explore the marshes and lakes of the wild Carmargue countryside.
Arles area
It’s also a great location for touring and leisure; there’s tennis and horse riding just 3KM away, plenty of cycling and walking routes in the area and golf is only a short drive away.
If you like local Provencal markets, you’ll be spoilt for choice! There are some excellent Paysan Markets where you will find local produce, grown and sold by some real characters!
With good restaurants in abundance in this area, it’s not difficult to spoil yourself – holidays aren’t for dieting!
The Cote Bleue on the Mediterranean coast is not far away whilst within 30 kms you can find the famous and historical towns of Nimes, Avignon, St Remy de Provence and the impressive Roman viaduct of Pont du Gard The nearest large town is Arles (3km) which has an impressive market twice a week and is well known for it’s abundance of Roman architecture and monuments
You can also visit the smaller towns of Raphele and Pont Du Crau for your basic provisions and warm croissants each morning!
