This townhouse / cottage, located by the river bank in one of the prettiest areas of Arklow, Co. Wicklow, was built and designed for self-catering holidays from the outset. It is part of a very small secure well maintained private development which offers lots of outdoor space where children can play in safety.
This house is very spacious. It is furnished very comfortably and to a very high standard. Downstairs there is a fully equipped kitchen with a table and chairs to seat 6 people. To the rere is the living room which seats 6 people comfortably and also has a dining table and 6 chairs. There is also a downstairs toilet. At the back there is a nice sized private patio area. Upstairs there are 2 large double bedrooms and 1 single bedroom. All are furnished and equipped to the highest standard and all 3 are en suite.

Although located within minutes of the town centre the setting is so peaceful and quiet that it is rural-like.

Known as 'The Sunny South East' because the area enjoys the best of Ireland's weather this part of the country boasts exceptional beauty and is readily accessible for visitors whether they reach our shores by air or by sea. From golf to gardens to the great outdoors the South East has everything to offer that a holiday maker could wish for. Apart from its splendid beaches the holiday maker can choose from among a host of other interests such as hill walking, following garden trails, cycling routes, visiting open pet farms or visiting museums.
A 'must see' for the visitor is the early Christian Monastic site of Glendalough which was founded by St Kevin in the 6th century. This haven of beauty, peace and tranquility is set in a glaciated valley with two lakes and the monastic remains include a superb round tower, stone churches and decorated crosses. Its splendour can be enjoyed by taking some of the beautiful walks through the valley and around the lakes. The Visitor Centre offers information on the area's cultural and natural heritage through maps, guides and information.
For history enthusiasts there is a host of attractions in the south east. Travelling south from Arklow the Irish National Heritage Park, the Dunbrody Famine Ship and the Hook Head lighthouse are just a few of the venues that feature among the top attractions.
The Arklow area
Arklow is situated on Ireland's east coast in the southern part of County Wicklow and just north of Wexford. Its central location makes it is a perfect hub for the exploration of the south east region. The property overlooks the Avoca River and Arklow Harbour. Arklow beach is a short walk away and some of Ireland's finest sandy beaches such as Brittas Bay and Silver Strand are a short drive away. The area boasts several golf courses with Arklow golf course being the closest, situated a mere few hundred metres form the property. Wicklow is known worldwide for the beauty of its picturesque countryside. Known as the 'Garden of Ireland' it is renowned among hill walking, fishing and boating enthusiasts.

Situated on Ireland's east coast immediately south of Dublin and north of Wexford and midway between both.
