Close to Everything
Here, in the countryside of Sabro, Jutland you'll find this older charming house from 1970.
The house is situated 12 km from Aarhus (Århus) town, which is the second largest city in Denmark. It is also where the Queens summer resident is located. When the Queen is not there it is open to the public - when she is in resident, there is a guard shift every day at noon. A true must see!
There is only 3 km to the highway (Exit 47/Tilst on E45) so within a short time you can be anywhere in Denmark!
The house itself is build on a huge pice of land together with another house, but has its own driveway, entrance, parking place, garden and front yard. The two houses is naturally separated by trees and plants.
The house contains everything you need for a single sleep over, holiday or just a weekend break.
In the retro kitchen you find what ever you need to cook a proper meal. Feel free to look in cabins and cupboards, everything you find is there for you to use.
There's a table for 4 people in the kitchen, if needed we can provide more chairs and a high-chair if you bring children. You also find a fridge/freezer, a convection oven with ceramic hobs, coffee maker and loads of cups, glasses, cutlery and kitchen towels.
From the kitchen there's access to the living room where you find a brand new corner leather couch with soft blankets and pillows. There's also a 40" flatscreen Tv, a dvd player and a PS2 (Playstation) for you to use. Again, if you bring children we can also provide dvd's for children, lego, toys, puzzles and other children things.
In January 2014 we updated the house with WiFi. So there is now free WiFi included in the price. The code and network name is in the Housemanual which is on the kitchen table in the house.
After the living room you find the first room with two separate 90x200 cm semi-hard beds. Both with newly washed and ironed bedsheets. From this room there's access to the bathroom and the master bedroom.
In the master bedroom you find two 90x200 cm semi-hard mattresses, also with fresh washed and newly ironed bedsheets. In the bedroom there's also a 32" flatscreen Tv, a dresser and a clothes rack for your cloth.
There's blackout blinds on all the windows in the entire house.
The bathroom is kept in white colors and has a new environmentally friendly toilet. Whole circle = Big Flush. Half circle = Small Flush. The separate shower is with a brand new Hans Gröhe environmentally water saving device. All towels are new and fresh, as are the bath math.
We do on occasion allow pets in the house, but ONLY if we have been informed first and have agreed upon it. If you bring a pet, for instant a dog, it's not okay that the dog sleeps in the bed, in our newly washed and ironed bedsheets. Dogs belong on the floor, at least in this house.
How many Guests?
Depending on how many people you are coming, you get access to the different bedrooms.
For instant, you'll always get access to the living room, bathroom and kitchen. If you are 2 people, you'll get one bedroom, if you are 3 people you'll get two bedrooms and so on.
We lock the rooms that you don't rent/use.
What's included in the price?
When you rent our house all you have to do, is to bring your own cloth. Basically. And buy some food, order take-away or go out for dinner.
But everything else is included in the price. Fresh newly washed and ironed bedsheets, fresh soft towels, free internet, heating, toiletmpaper, electricity, use of the kitchen and living room, use of our dvd's, use of the front and back yard to our house, use of the charcoal grill, free parking, use of the washing machine etc.
We can also provide childrens toys up to a certain age, high chair and childrens cot upon request and a extra fee.
All we request you to do, is to tidy up the entire house and do the dishes before checking out again - when you pay the cleaning fee you only pay for cleaning and washing, you don't pay for us to tidy up the place after you.
The entire house is heated via electricity that again comes from solar panels on the roof, so please be environmental and turn off the heater/air-conditioner when not using it.
Washing Machine and Dryer
It is possible to use the washing machine and the dryer for 5€ pr. wash including drying. It's located in the main house, so please let me or my parents know if you wishes to do some laundry.
10 minutes walk from the house, you find a playground with pet animals that children can feed, look at and touch, a soccer field and a field full of horses belonging to the local Riding School to look at.
If you like to take a bike ride around the area, into the forrest or even go grocery shopping on a bike, we can provide 2 male bikes and 2 female bikes. We also have small scooters for children and 2 childrens bikes, one with training wheels and one a size larger. They can be rented upon a extra fee.
The bus stop is 2 min. walk from the house and in less than 20 minutes you'll be in the center of Aarhus, from where there are night busses leaving at 01.00 and 03.00 to go back home - very convenient after a night out....
There is also 2 convenience store (Rema1000 & Daglig Brugsen) 2 pizza houses and an OK Gas station within walking distance of the house. McDonalds, Bilka, Jensens Steakhouse and Toys R'US are within a distance of 4 km.
5-Star Retro House
All in all this little house is super cozy, kept in simple and retro interior, clean and neat with everything you need. It's not a 5 star hotel, but it is a 5 star house for the price!
