About the home

14th century townhouse in the centre of Argenton sur Creuse, overlooking the Vieux Pont. Cosy winters by the fire and lovely walks by the river in summer. Ideal for a long weekend or for a relaxing holiday and an opportunity to explore the beautiful Berry region and castles of the Loire.

In the heart of a delightful medieval town in central France. Restaurants and shops two minutes walk. Chateaux, forests and lake with water sports nearby. Great location.

Located in a historical area of town, near major points of interest. Emertine has four floors with a lovely winding old wooden staircase all the way to the attic. Ground floor has a reception room and laundry with lounge/dining on 1st floor (+ futon sofabed) and kitchen. The main bedroom is on the next floor and is large with views of the bridge and the river. It has a comfortable queen bed and single king sleigh bed. The second bedroom has a set of bunks and some toys. The bathroom is on the landing between the two bedrooms with shower and toilet. The attic has a large rug and looks out over the town through the rooftop windows.

Staircase is steep so care needs to be taken with young children.
