Home description
10% discount available now for June! The location of the apartment could scarcely be better. Situated in Port Argele's pretty marina, the balcony boasts an amazing view of boats moored to the quay, with mountains in the background. The apartment has one full bedroom with a double bed and also features a corridor room which includes a bunk bed. Add the sofa bed in the living room, and the apartment sleeps up to six. The flat is air-conditoned.
Port Argeles is a busy marina, featuring numerous restaurants and a couple of good bars. The flat is situated just 200 or 300 metres away from the start of Argeles' main wide 'Plage', which has been awarded the 'Blue Flag' for many years, due to it's clean sand and water.

The Languedoc-Roussillon / Pyrenees-Orientales region
Right at the far south of France, the Languedoc-Roussillon area has one of the mildest climates in the country and enjoys 300 days of sunshine a year.
Port Argeles is at the end of a 7km long sandy beach. The resort is classed as a blue flag area because of it's clear sea water and due to the fact that the beach is cleaned on a daily basis. Argeles has two nature reserves: the Mas Larrieu on the coast and the forest of Massane at the centre of the Alberes area.
On the outskirts of Argeles is Chateau Valmy, which offers a nature trail, a picturesque vineyard and daily falconry displays during the Summer season. Collioure, just 4 kms away, is one of the most charming fishing villages to be found in France, or anywhere else for that matter. The village's lighthouse has been the inspiration over the year's for artists such as Matisse and Picasso and local artists such as Michel Val in Rue de l'Egalite are still to be found dotted around Collioure.
There are spas nearby at Amelie-les-Bains and Le Boulou, a Safari Park at Sigean and a nature reserve for bird watching at Etang de Canet. Historic places to explore within easy travelling distance include Carcassone, Castle Nou and Villefranche de Confluent.
Argeles area
Port Argeles is a picturesque marina, set against a backdrop of sea at the foot of lush green hills and offers a good selection of bars and restaurants. Argeles is well known througout France as being a great resort for children with a huge range of activities and attractions. Adults are also well catered for with boat trips, scuba diving, sailing, kayaking, swimming, tennis, horse riding, archery, cycling and mountain biking, hiking, go-carting, mini-golf, micro-lie flights, canyoning in the mountains and paragliding. There are also nearby adventure playgrounds and water parks. At the peak of the Summer holiday season a little tourist train provides a regular service from Port Argeles to the end of Argeles Plage and back.
