The Argeles / Argeles Plage area
Argeles sur Mer is a wonderful beach resort set on a long sandy beach stretching for 7km. For days out you may take organised trips or put together your own schedule.
You are near enough to the Spanish border to allow trips into Spain as far as Barcelona. A day trip to the Principality of Andorra is also possible. The UNESCO recognised heritage site of the "little yellow train" offers a fantastic trip through beautiful countryside. It is the highest railway in the country.

We were a group of six adults staying at La Sirene, Argles-sur-mer. The campsite was excellent with first class facilities. The beach was only a mile away and it is a very nice walk too. The entertainment at night was very enjoyable. We took drives into other areas and visited some fruit&vegetable sellers who also sell their own wine, very nice. Argle town and port are worth visiting and if you have a car head into the mountains for few hours. Personally, i will be back with my grandchildren who will be 10 and 11 by then and I believe this age group will be in wonderland especially with the pool. A big thanks to all at La Sirene they keep the place beautifully clean and safe, yes the feeling of safety was evident. |
