Argeles sur Mer is a wonderful beach resort set on a long sandy beach stretching for 7km. For days out you may take organised trips or put together your own schedule. You are near enough to the Spanish border to allow trips into Spain as far as Barcelona. A day trip to the Principality of Andorra is also possible. The UNESCO recognised heritage site of the "little yellow train" offers a fantastic trip through beautiful countryside. It is the highest railway in the country.
