People visit the Lakes for the tranquil way of life, good food and ever charming warmth of the italians. All of these statements are realised the minute you arrive. Whether you like to enjoy local fresh produce, magnificent architecture, majestic villas or magical scenery - Lake Como ticks all the right boxes!
The village of Argegno is a sleepy fishing village with superb access to all parts of the lake as well as restaurants, bars, baker and fruit and veg shop with service from a bygone area-and all this is reachable just 5 minutes from your home where you can sit back and enjoy tranquil surroundings with mountain views all around you.
Argegno / Sant Anna area
The sleepy lakeside village of Argegno with its collection of restaurants and bars is ideally situated to reach all parts of the lake from the ferry stop or by car.
Watch the locals fishing or people enjoy an espresso while they watch the boats go by along the lake. Argegno seems like a place where time has moved on without them. Visit the little bakery selling freshly baked cakes, look out for the fruit and veg shop with it' strictly seasonal produce. What's more you're less than 20 minutes drive from places such as Villa D'este, George Clooney's villa or even Villa Balbianello featured in the recent 007 movie Casino Royale. Switzerland, Milan, Monza grand prix, AC/Inter Milan FC are all less than an hour.
Argegno village is just 2km from the house and can be reached by car (5 mins drive) or by foot (20 mins). Argegno is home to a small shingle beach, whilst a golden sand man made beach is 20 mins north. Here you can sit an mini gazebos on the beach, put your feet up and let the waiters serve you your favourite drink as you take in the lake view
Your home is situated just 5 minutes drive from the village in Argegno. San Anna is perched above the village with the home positioned with wonderful mountain and panoramic views and close to two renowned restaurants/hotels which serve regional, seasonal dishes using only fresh ingredients.
Restaurants in Argegno include trattorias with fish specialities, upmarket dining (Piazzeta) and a renowned pizzeria next to the beach.
In short if you are searching for a place of your own away from the tourists yet close enough to reach the buzz of the village and lake como living, Casa San Anna will fit the bill nicely.

Further details indoors: The villa is an ideal family home with its spacious garden and BBQ facilities, perfect to while away a sunny afternoon! As the villa is situated between the lake and mountains it enjoys a less atmosphere so air conditioning is not necessary. We use this as our summer house to take away from the extreme heat and to enjoy the sunny but cooler climate!
Bedroom 1 has got a double bed with ample hanging space and bedroom 2 has got bunk bed & sofa bed
The old fashioned bathroom is kept meticulously clean and includes a bathtub with a overhead shower, WC wash basin and bidet.
The villa has its own original kitchen, separate to the living room and includes cooker with 4 ring hob, fridge and washing machine.
The living room has ample seating for 4, the dining table (pictured) comfortably seats 4 and is decorated in traditional italian style. Entertainment includes a TV and DVD player.
Our comprehensive maid service ensures the house is spotlessly clean between clients visits. Towels and linen included additional cleaning for stays of a week or longer can be arranged.
Hairdryer, iron and ironing board are included.
Cot for children on request, please bring bedding.
Further details outdoors: Private garden with bbq and dining area. Own garage for private parking. The house is the perfect "get away from it all" desitnation ideally situated for mountain walks, cycling and breathing in the mountain air! Close by is the pretty church of San Anna and a lovely off road path way which will take you to the village whilst you enjoy the sound of the running stream, birds and clean, fresh scent of the forest.Yet 5 minutes away is the buzz of the lake and village with it's plethora of restaurants, bars and friendly locals.
The lido beach (shingle beach) is the perfect way to enjoy the lake in all it's splendour. The amenities here include bakery, fruit and veg store, icecream shop, bank,post office, ferry and bus which access the whole of the lake such as Bellagio, Tremezzo (Villa Carlotta), Menaggio, Lenno (Villa Balbianello-James Bond Casino Royale filmed here!).
The villa enjoys it's own private, secluded garden and terrace ideal for alfresco dining with superb views of the mountains as well as a BBQ.
There is a private garage for the guests.
