A superb family home with stunning view of the lake from bedroom and sitting room. Relaxing and quiet. Stylish and practical in decor. Its proximity to the village enables visitors to make the most of local bars and restaurants overlooking the lake.
The accommodation offers spacious living for 6 guests, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with your own private garden and balcony.
There village is the at the hub of lakeside living here be where Argegno proudly enjoys a typically italian feel with local life in abudance giving you an insight into the "real" Lake Como!

* mini beach where the mountain springs meet the lake
* cable car rides to top of mountain to enjoy feasts and good wine from other local villages.
Visitors with a hire car, or those who wish to tour the area by other methods, will find much in the way of entertainment and all in all a treasure trove for sightseers-however the ferry and bus access the whole lake and are only a 10 minute or so walk from the apartment for those who want to leave the car behind and just relax on the water, or chill out in your garden .

Enjoy Italian hospitality, with the long summer days and crisp winter nights admist breathtaking scenery around the lake, with activities such as wind surfing or small beaches for relaxing. As well as fun and excitement the area offers peaceful and tranquil areas for you to unwind and experience of different things. The people you meet will be more than happy to offer you their opinion of what to see, do, try and experience.
Bellagio, the "chocolate box" hillside village, Lenno with its man made beach, Villa Carlotta and it's majestic gardens are all just a boat ride away.
In recent years the lake has become something of a magnet for stars with both George Clooney and Richard Branson having homes just 10 minutes drive from your apartment not forgetting Donatella Versace!
Perhaps its the lake climate, the stunning mountain back drop, the miles of lake blue waters or the relaxing lakeside walks that attracts people to the lake. However it is the welcome of the locals that never fails to impress newcomers here.

The more adventurous may like to take the train to Milan for the shopping, opera or cathederals or marvel at the awe inspring drive to San Moritz.
The annual Formula 1 grand prix takes place early September in Monza and is reachable in just 45 minutes!

The Argegno area

Argegno is a characteristic fishing village, where there are local cafes, easy access to boat trips around the lake and excellent restaurants from fine dining "alfreso style" to pizzaria's and rustic trattorias serving fresh lake fish.
Holidaymakers visit Lake Como looking to explore the area and fall in love with Argegno as the village represents the perfect spot for a relaxing holiday where by you can experience quality authentic Italian cuisine, culture and way of life. There is a bike shop that you can use to hire bikes for seeing more stunning shots of the village or you could always get a breath of fresh air and walk. There are plenty of traditional local shops to stock up on your supplies from the bakery serving fresh bread, cakes- the weekly home made gnocci every thursday is not to be missed-make a date! The fruit and veg man, Mario, will advice you on the freshest seasonal produce.
Argegno really is a throwback to how village life used to be in years gone by with people who have time to stop and chat and where pace of life is virtually at a standstill (save for the motorists!).
Holidaymakers are all the better for the experience.

All Milan airports are accessible to the house. Ryan Air flies to Bergamo and when booked in advance is a very reasonable option. Car hire is advisable to access all the beautiful areas around the lake. From Bergamo ariport follow signs to Lecco. When nearing Lecco, there will then be signs to Como. Follow the lake road to Argegno. Approx 1 hr from Milan Malpensa or Linate airports-1.5 hours from Bergamo.

Hello Julie and Barrie!

It was nice meeting you in Argegno, even though very briefly. We enjoyed our stay there very much and so did our friends. The scenery is so breathtaking. This was the first time we rented a house and it really beats staying at a hotel. Fortunately we are enjoying nice and warm summer days here in Finland, too, so the returning wasn't quite so depressing.
