About the home

The property offers superb lake views from the wrap around balcony. Relax on the leather sofas, cook up a feast in the brand new kitchen or just view the moving lake como scenery as the boats and ferry sail past admist the ever changing panorama. The apartment has been designed in the style of a boutique hotel,
with canvass paintings, flat screen tv and furnishings with attention to detail with the empahasis on style and comfort.
The position of the apartment means you have accessibility to all areas. The ferry is just 3 minutes walk as is the village, restaurants, bars, bakery, mini market, ice cream shop, as well as local cafes and trattorias serving delcious fresh local fayre. The apartment is a real haven for relaxation with the sound of the running stream in front of the property the perfect accompanient to the spellbinding lake views!!
Lake Como is really awash with culture. Rich in history, blessed with beauty and the warmest of welcomes from the people who make it the real "dolce vita!" From the cool mountain air in spring to the snow laden mountain tops during winter there is something here for everyone to enjoy. Boat trips, lakeside walks,
medieval history, designer shopping, water ski-ing, cookery lessons, gourmet dining etc

Boat hire, Villa Balbianello (007-James Bond), Villa Carlotta (majestic gardens), Switzerland, Milan, Skiing, Designer shopping, Formula 1 (Monza), Bellagio by ferry are all within striking distance.
Alternatively pop open another bottle of prosecco on the balcony and take in those magical lake and mountain views! Be warned though, one visit it never enough! Just ask our scores of satisfied customers or read the plethora of enthusiastic comments in our visitors book.

2 bedrooms, 1 double, 1 twin both with ample wardrobe space. Bathroom with shower, w/c, bidet all immaculately kept. The living room features 2 leather sofas and dining for 4, plus a wide screen tv with selected satellite channels, dvd and cd player where you can listen to your favourite sounds whilst taking in the breathtaking view of the lake. A brand new modern kitchen with all mod cons including a dishwasher. The apartment also features a washing machine. The balcony is the perfect place to take in the sun with seating for 4 guests plus a futher 2 sunloungers.

Lake Como is situated within Lombardy home also to Milan the fashion capitol of the world, Bergamo with its majestic squares & medieval churches & Monza for grand prix lovers! However if you are searching for something more serene Lake Como is a haven for tranquility.For years young & old have visited Lake Como and returned home refreshed, ivorigated and bewitched by its unparallelled beauty.
Football in Milan (1 hr drive or available by public transport) AC Milan and Inter Milan.
Switzerland (30 mins to border) home of Fox town for cut price designer fashion, Lake Lugano and San Moritz for memorable drives and skiing!

The Argegno area

For those who just wish to take in the sun and relax or just go for a lazy stroll to walk of that lunchtime gelato then Lake Como offers the perfect holiday to achieve a relaxing chill out break.

The village of Argegno is only a 3 minute walk with lake, ferry, bus. Bank, minimarket, fruit & veg shop, geletaria all available here in the village.
Argegno itself is home to lakeside living par excellence with a selection of bars and restaurants, perfect for a lazy lunch or a romantic candlelit alfresco feast. The village also boasts a bakery, mini market and fish shop
as well as amenities such as chemist, post office, winebars and weekly food market.
Take the funicular close to the village for superb lake and mountain views!
Shingle beach for sunbathing plus mountaineering in near by val d'intelvi for the more adventurous!

However for holidaymakers who liketo explore there is plenty of variation on offer from visiting medieval churches to browsing at the many italian boutiques in nearby Como town famed for it's silk and leather, talking a boat ride for a spot of dinner on one of the many lakeside villages to climbing the mountains high above the lake! Choose from Villa Carlotta, 20 minutes from the apartment with it's acres of beautiful lake facing gardens, Villa Balbinello in Lenno (15 minutes drive)for romance and relaxation (James Bond seemed to favour the latter in the recent Casino Royale production filmed here in 2006)
Bellagio never fails to dissapoint and offers a great excuse to take the water ferry across the lake. Marvel at it's picturesque promontories, cobbled streets and fine art shops all with lake views par excellence.
Drive down to Cernobbio for an idyllic sunday afternoon stroll. Menaggio, with it's pretty palm lined walkways it another pretty lake village worth exploring.

“amazing lake como” Vicki and Ian December 2010 A fabulous apartment in a really friendly little place, we were welcomed like film stars at the local wine bar! We were given great advice by Barrie and Julie and the knowledge that they have for everything is amazing..right down to the best places to get a take away pizza! The apartment is perfect, great little dvd player and music system and in the kitchen everything you need to enjoy the fruits of the local markets and shops not to mention the very nice local wines that are available, we cooked more that we thought we would and really just used the evening time to relax, it was an amazing time and we were planning the next trip on our last night. We used the local transport and the ferry to go to Mennagio and had a great day looking around and enjoying the Christmas atmosphere. We will be back..without doubt, it's too good to resist.

“Amazing View” After five weeks of travel, this apartment was a very nice place for us to take a vacation from our vacation. We were pleasantly surprised by the fact that is is much larger than it appears in the pictures on the web site. The kitchen, dining, living room areaseem even larger because of the floor to ceiling windows which look out onto the lake and over the roofs of this hillside town. The bed was very comfortable and the lighting was good throughout the apartment. It was nice having a second bedroom to store our luggage and keep the living out of a suitcase clutter out of sight. There is a nice selection of dvds and music which we enjoyed in the evenings after exploring the area. The location is good - halfway between Como and Menaggio, which we enjoyed most of all the towns we visited. Julie could not have been more helpful. She was able to recommend local restuarants, met us at a food store to give us the USB connecction for wi fi, and helped us with food purchase. (did not know the Italian word for cream or where to find it.) She is from Wales so we did not have to use our limited Italian and less limited sign language to communicate. If we return to the lake district, I would hope this apartment is still available.

A wonderfully luxurious and spacious apartment which i could live in! Ideal to explore the area, the garden is a fantastic spot to soak up the sun and enjoy the views! The village has everything you could ever need from the ferry to delcious icecream parlour! Will return. James Thomas & Family.

The apartment has every home comfort and made a stay in Lake Como one we will treasure forever. Very convenient to have the luxury of two bathrooms, the kitchen is well stocked and beds very comfortable. Many an afternoon or evening enjoying a lazy lunch or candlelit summer with more than a glass or two of wine. Thank you for all your help and recommendations prior to stay and on arrival.
