Las Violetas is a charming ground floor apartment surrounded by a private garden (400m2). The property is in a small complex of 8 apartments which share a swimming pool and garden. It is within 5 minute walk from the fine sandy beach Arenal d'en Castell on the north coast of Menorca.

The Menorca region
"Reserve of the Biosphere"
Menorca is situated at the eastern end of the balearic islands. This beautiful mediterranean island has a rich ecological interior and cultural inheritance, internationally recognised by Unesco. In 1993 it won the distinction of "Reserve of the Biosphere". The Nature Park "Albufera d'es Grau" is located in the north-east of the island.
Menorca's strong personality has been forged over centuries of intense history. The island is practically level, geologically divided into two well define regions: the Tramontana (north), with a steep profile and a rugged coast, and the Migjorn (south), with deep ravines running into a gentle coastline.
The climate is typically mediterranean, with an average temperature of 18 degrees centigrade.
Menorca is and ideal place to dive thanks to the clarity of its waters and its extraordinary underwater beauty.
Last but not least, Menorca is an authentic open-air museum, with over a thousand megalithic monuments some of which date back to 3000 BC.
The food is traditional and simple, influenced by the seasonal food available. The most famous dish is lobster caldereta, also there's also fish and shellfish calderetas. The three products considered to be authentic gastronomical treasures are gin, cheese and mayonnaise.
Arenal d'en Castell area
The house is located in a very quiet area, while being close to all amenities and the sandy beach of Arenal. Most of all, I love to go an buy every morning the freshly baked "ensaimadas" and have a relaxed breakfast in the garden. Simply great!
