Sally July 2012
"It really is as good as it looks in the pictures! The 'open plan' nature of the house worked well, everything was bright airy and spacious. The pool, although it wasn't heated, was a pleasant temperature for us all to swim/ play in- a definite highlight of the villa."
Dries June 2012
"We had a great holiday in this beautiful new villa. The villa was spotless and very clean, in the villa everything one wants is available: tv, dvd, internet, kitchen, childs seat, air-conditioning. There are a lot of beautiful beaches around, you can easily reach many of the beautiful cities: Obidos, Nazaré, Lisbon, Mafra, Sintra, Ericeia"
Emma August 2012
"The villa was beautiful, spacious and equipped with everything we needed. At night the view with the lights of the local towns and villages was lovely and the daytime view was just as impressive Although we generally do not return to the same location twice, I would make an exception for this villa."

The Central Portugal region
Stretching from Lisbon to Fiqueira da Foz, Portugal's Costa de Prata (Silver Coast) is a gem of largely undiscovered beauty and gets its name from the effect of the sun on the waves of the Atlantic Ocean. The Silver Coast provides a more authentic taste of the Portuguese way-of-life, fringed with the best beaches in Europe and as such retains its sense of space, peace, and tranquility.
Like most of Portugal the Silver Coast comprises mainly small towns and villages, and so the pace of life is gentler than many European beach destinations; but with the Lisbon, only 45 minutes away there is sophistication and vibrancy there for even the most hardened city dweller.
The Silver Coast of Portugal has some of the best beaches in Europe, many with a Blue Flag. The coastline is rugged with many isolated coves and small beaches where the sun can be enjoyed without the crowds. It is widely acknowledged as being the best spot for surfing in Portugal offering conditions suitable for all abilities.
Local beaches include Areia Branca, Baleal and Foz De Arelho by the Obdois Lagoon. All the local beaches are provided with lifeguards in the summer so you may stay safe.
Silver Coast golf is arguably the equal of the more famous Algarve, being host to a number of world renowned courses but without the overcrowding or overpricing. The golf here takes advantage of the rugged coastline and undulating landscape to provide stunning vistas and a true test of ability;
• Praia D'El Rey Golf Resort, one of the most spectacular and picturesque golf courses in Europe, with amazing views of the Atlantic it was named the 13th best golf course in Europe.
• Bom Sucesso, a Championship level par 72 golf course overlooking the Obidos Lagoon
• Royal Obidos, the new Seve Ballesteros designed course opened in 2012 a demanding and challenging course.
Further afield, but still worthy of a visit are Golden Eagle, Campo Real, Penha Longa, Quinta da Marinha and Cabo da Roca Troia and Quinta do Peru.
Special interest holidays
Of particular interest in this area is the fantastic surfing. We have contacts with local Surf Schools that we would recommend to provide good instruction, surfing is wonderful fun for people of all ages and we reccomend you try it. The area is also an area fertile with golf courses and available by prior arrangement is a set of golf clubs.
The villa is ideally situated in a quite relaxing environment but it is under 5 minutes from the bustling sea side resort Praia da Areia Branca with many Ice cream Parlours Café and Clubs that open till the early hours of the morning. It is less than one mile from the centre of the regional town of Lourinha and has three supermarkets within one and a half miles so conveniently located for all your requirements. There are many wonderful local restaurants within 5 minutes or just another 5 takes you to an array of restaurants along the harbour front of the fishing town of Peniche.
Within 1 mile are two superb soft white sandy beaches of Areia Branca or the more seclude Praia Peralta, where young children will have hours of fun in the sand and older children and adults can experience the delights of learning to surf.
Explore Lourinha's quaint, cobbled streets provide plenty of small traditional shops as well as good cafes. The Museum of Dinosaurs celebrates one of the most significant dinosaur finds in Europe. For more excitement there is the go kart track just a few minutes away on the way to Peniche or stay on the road to the outskirts for a days fun at the aqua park. But if its natural history you like head to the harbour and take one of the many boats to the natural reserve of the Berlengas islands to be amazed with incredible diversity of sea life if you take a glass bottomed boat. And for the more adventurous swim amongst the huge shoals of fish with an organised snorkelling or diving adventure.
If interested in local history visit Obidos – a walled mediaeval town with cobbled streets that hosts a traditional Medieval Market each July, when the castle recreate the spirit of medieval Europe. Flowing banners and heraldic fags, entertainers and stall holders dressed as merchants, jugglers, jesters. Shop at the handcrafts fair or watch medieval shows, displays of jousting knights and armed combat. Spit roasted hog, hearty soups, rabbit, cod, quail, sausages and other grilled meats are some of the many medieval style meals from taverns throughout the market.
