Aird Steading Cottage is a 5 star graded luxury cottage with spectacular views to Loch Craignish on the East and Paps of Jura, Correyvreckan Whirpool between the islands of Jura and Scarba with the mountains of Mull providing a magnificent backdrop to the islands of Luing and Lunga.

Aird Steading Cottage is situated on Aird Farm, near the village of Ardfern between Oban and Lochgilphead and is an ideal retreat to escape and relax. This luxury cottage is extremely spacious and comfortable and in an idyllic situation for a romantic or relaxing break.

Aird Farm is a working farm and Malcolm and Alison live on the farm and are there to welcome you and are available during your stay. They can give you advice on the walks on the farm and in the local area as well as the best places to eat.

Aird Farm is an ideal place to see otters, seals dolphins as well as buzzards, oystercatchers along with other birdlife and wildlife. Secluded pebble beaches are with in a short walk from the cottage. Glorious evening sunsets can be enjoyed from the cottage.

The Central Scotland/Strathclyde region

Craignish Peninsula is well known for its spectacular scenery and the effects of the Gulf Stream leading to a milder climate and the tidal races of the Dorus Mhor (The Great Door) where the first steam ship, The Comet, sank. These tidal lead to the Correyvreckan Whirlpool which one of the largest whirlpools in the Northern hemisphere which can be seen from Aird.

The village of Ardfern is 3 miles from the cottage and has an excellent village shop with post office, craft shop / café and hotel. Kilmartin Standing Stones and Museum, Arduaine Gardens, Sailing School and Horse Riding at Craobh Haven. Boat trips from Ardfern and Craobh Haven are all within a short distance.
