The farm Agriturismo Colle Caronte is located very idyllic at a lake, in the nature reserve only 500 m from the railway station (train connections to Cassino, Rome and Caserta).
A fantastic place to relax in the country in Italy. Cultural intermezzos in Rome, Naples, Pompeii, Monte Cassino...
The large new build house with little private garden is available for 8 guests. The light flooded big house has two floors. On the ground floor is a large and comfortable living room with kitchen and fireplace, further a bathroom with shower. A spiral staircase connect the two floors. On the first floor are 3 bedrooms (two double beds and two single beds), a cozy sitting area with sofas, a pull out sofa and a large bathroom with shower. Internet WI-FI is available.
In front of the house is a little private garden with table and chairs where the guests can eat outside.
Further a large garden with shady trees and sunny places - seasonal - are at guest's disposal.
Sunshades and sun beds at the large swimming pool are at the guest's disposal in summer.
Further, a large covered barbecue is located in the garden.
The Agriturismo sales their housemade productions like honey and meat locally.
The region of Frosinone and the area of Ciocceria are very rich on culture and history. Excavations from the Roman and the Pre-Roman time. Many completely remained medieval old towns in most of the places/cities.
Day trips to Rome, Naples, Pompeii, Monte Cassino, Caserta, the sea/beach and the National Park Abruzzo gives your holidays unforgettable impressions and a wonderful touch!

The Lazio region
The region of Lazio, rich of culture and nature, is situated in the centre of Italy.
Hilly landscapes with olive- and vine cultivations and the lakes Bracciano and Bolzena characterizes the north of the region. The culturally heydays are the famous Etruscan excavation and the sulphur-wells, where you can spoil your skin under the open sky.
Rome is the culturally and economically center as well as the capital city of Italy, located directly in the heartland of Lazio.
Mountains are in the south, rising above 2000 meters; lower, heading the coast the gentle green slopes are overgrown with orange-and lemon trees and olive-and vine cultivations.

The food and wine tradition might deserve its own chapter: fish and seafood on the coast; rustically cuisine in the countryside (meat and sausage, cheese and a lot of different vegetables), buffalo mozzarella, and olives of Gaeta are only some examples.

The area between south of Lazio and northern Campania, named Campania Felix by the ancient Roman, produces since centuries a particular wine, called Falernus, one of the many wine excellence of the area.
Arce is a commune (municipality) in the province of Frosinone, in the region of Lazio, Italy. It is an agricultural centre located on a hill overlooking the Via Casilina, in the middle valley of the Liri.
Arce is situated on the ancient road Via Casilina, today known as freeway SS 6 (Rome - Campania) and on the highway Autostrada del Sole A1, (Mailand - Naples).
The nature reserve Lago di San Giovanni Incarico / Isoletta comprise the region of the ancient cities Fregellae and Fabrateria Nova as well as the watery region at the confluence of Sacco and Liri. It is a living space for many waterfowl.
The area of Ciociaria is located in the province of Frosinone - an area with many traditions like events, music festivals, processions, performance of singers and groups, the illuminations and fireworks. All performance are shown with typical traditional costumes, music and rites as well as the traditional cooking - this way, the originals keep their culture and country alive till today... and with a special dialect in their language. Ciociaria means the same like "the land of sandals". The name trace one's original from Ciòcie. Ciòcie are traditional, with leather-bound straps at the lower legs from the sandals of the shepards of the mountain regions. It should be an allusion to the people's poorness of the region.
What do you have to expect here? A spectacular mountain landscape, delicious traditional cooking with many ancient recipes, open-minded and helpful origins and surely NO mass tourism, because this region isn't much tourist relevated, in spite of the beauty.
The car factory of Fiat near Cassino is one of the most important economic centres of the region. Many of the population are living from the agriculture untill today - often the farms are used as proceed additionally. Mainly production: Olive oil, wine, meat, milk, cheese, honey...
Sight-seeing: medieval towns, convents/monasteries, the thermal city Fiuggi, Monte Cassino, nature reserves, mountains and the grotto of Pastena. Further you can make day-trips to Rome, Pompeii, Naples, the Abruzzi, the sea/beach and to the islands.
