Holiday cottage in rural Angus.

Surrounded by open farmland and close to Montreathmont Forest, Balgavies Loch, Montrose Basin and Murton Wildlife Reserves.

3 large double bedrooms, 2 with en-suite and one downstairs next to large family bathroom. 2 folding single beds are also provided and 2 cots and high-chairs are available on request.

There is a large open-plan living/kitchen area with large farmhouse-style cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, washing machine, TV, video, DVD player.

Seating, tables and chairs to comfortably accommodate 8 people..

WI-fi is available.

The cottage has underfloor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs.

A selection of books, toys and games, DVDs and videos is provided.

Bedding and towels are provided.

No smoking and no dogs are permitted in the cottage.

There is off road parking for cars.

Herbs and strawberries grow in containers in the garden area for your use and fruit and vegetables are often available from the owner's garden.

30 minutes from glens going deep into the Cairngorm Mountains.

1 hour from Glen Shee Ski Centre.

Cycle tracks. Fishing on rivers and sea, Golf, including the famous Carnoustie and St Andrews courses.

Innovative sea-front play areas. Swimming and leisure pools. Indoor play centres, Curling and ice skating rinks in winter.

Amazing wildlife including Golden Eagles, Sea Eagles, Ospreys, Red and Roe Deer, Mountain Hares, Ptarmigan, rare plants Otters and Dolphins.

Castles, including the queen mother's childhood home and Balmoral, Pictish sculptured stones and museums, Historic Arbroath Abbey where the Declaration of Arbroath was signed and was used as the basis for America's Declaration of Independence.

The northern lights are often visible in winter,spring and autumn.

Unlike the west coast we do not have midge infestations and the weather is sunnier and drier.

The stars and northern lights are clearly visible because there are no street and town lights
