"Fantastic home and location"
Our stay in Iceland was not necessarily the best time of the year to go due to weather but we had a wonderful experience all the same. Sven was very accommodating and his family home was absolutely perfect; incredibly well organized and we lacked for nothing. The space was perfect for two families with four young children. What brought us to Iceland during this time was to see the northern lights and we were not disappointed. The house is an easy driving distance to many sites on the southern side of the island. All in all a wonderful country, beautiful home and great hosts.

"Stunning house in the countryside"
Our group of 9 were looking for a house where we might be able to catch a glimpse of the northern lights, although cloudy weather disappointed us on that front, the house Stekkholt was absolutely fantastic. The whole house appears brand new and extremely well equipped, the kitchen had everything we could possibly need and more; the bedrooms were large and very comfortable, the house easily fitting our group. It was very easy to find and put us in a good spot for exploring the main sites during the day. The outdoor hot tub is another huge plus and great in the cold weather (though stay in too long in winter and your hair will freeze!) We were so pleased that the accommodation was so nice, as it really did make up for the poor weather.
Thanks for your review and your stay at our House. You are always welcome back. Best regards Sven
