In this little corner of southern Spain, you will discover a wealth of tourist attractions. One of the biggest draws is the lovely whitewashed village of Mojacar Pueblo, a hilltop town of white sugar-cube buildings clinging to the hilltop. Explore the narrow cobbled streets and admire the panoramic views of the Andalucian countryside. History enthusiasts will find plentiful reminders of the region's Moorish past, while everyone will find a wealth of restaurants and bars where they can eat, drink and watch the spectacular sunset.

Villa Naranja is situated in a small Spanish village called Arboleas in south-eastern Spain. The village is just 5 minutes' walk away through citrus groves.

We have stayed in this villa four times now, visiting in June and September over the last few years and have always thoroughly enjoyed our time there, feeling totally relaxed in no time. The villa is very clean and well looked after and comfortably furnished and is also extremely well equipped for those wishing to self-cater. A good selection of dvd's and music cd's are provided. It is situated in a beautiful spot, with an uninterupted view across the rambla to the stunning range of hills, which we love to watch in the evenings as they slowly change to the colour of cinder toffee. Trips to the various coastal towns are very worthwhile and for those drivers, like my husband, who enjoy a challenge, there are some stunning mountain drives to lovely little absolutely unspoilt villages. For wildlife lovers you can see birds such as the Hoopoo, bea-eaters, storks and the Imperial Spanish Eagle which we have seen most days soaring overhead while we laze around the lovely pool. The village centre is a short walk across the rambla and provides for most needs. One good shop at the larger supermarket a few miles away usually sees us through the holiday and the local market provides fabulous fresh produce very cheaply. We have booked to go back again later this year and can't wait for our chill-out 'fix'. |

My family and I had a very enjoyable stay at Villa Naranja. It is on the outskirts of a town called Arboleas above a (dry) river bed overlooking the town. The villa is spacious and is furnished to a high standard, with all of the modern conveniences such as Washing Machine / TV / Stereo etc. It has marble floors and on the ground floor has two good sized bedrooms / bathroom / kitchen / utility room and a spacious lounge / diner. Upstairs there is a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a private sun terrace. All main rooms have A/C. The villa sits in its own private garden and has a nice pool. A car is essential as there are no shops nearby. However a short 5 minute drive away there are some big supermarkets and nice restaurants. The owners of the villa live in the UK and were very helpful during the booking. There is also a local contact who comes and cleans the pool and is available if there are any problems. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have fond memories of lazy days spent around the pool. We would definitely stay here again! |
