The Costa de Almeria region
The Almeria is the warmest area of Spain, Moorish Mojarcar, is just 30 minute drive set into the mountain where its claimed Walt Disney was born, well worth a visit the views are worth the walk. The unspoilt beaches of Lobos and Villaricos also Vera with its bullring are all 30 minute drive.
The wild-west film set of mini Hollywood, the zoo and Tabernas, can be reached in an hour, also when the new motorway opens to Granada it will mean a day on the pist will be possible. There are 3 PGA golf courses, Desert Springs, Cortjo Grande, Marina golf, all 30 minute drive.
Arboleas / Los Torres area
Casa Bonita is situated 7 kms from Arboleas, where you will find supermarket, restaurant, bars, bakery chemist, banks, small shops, don't forget to try menu-of - the day usually 3 courses plus house wine or beer.
Also the church is worth a visit, it dates back to 1492.County walks in the surrounding valleys, where you will find an abundance of fruit trees, ie oranges, lemons, pomegranates, figs, almonds.
