This lovely house is situated in an enviable position, a level 5 minutes walk to the estuary sands and a 5 minutes drive to the surfing beach at Westward Ho!. Furnished and equipped to a high standard, South Corner Cottage offers the ultimate in luxury and location. On the edge of Northam Burrows, which is a haven for wildlife with horses and sheep grazing, it is also the home of The Royal North Devon Golf Club which once held the British Open. Westward Ho! offers a wide range of facilities from riding, tennis, family pubs, restaurants and other leisure activities. Walk through the village and enjoy the clifftop walks which offer breathtaking scenery. In the other direction is the traditional fishing village of Appledore with its quaint narrow lanes, restaurants, Maritime Museum and galleries. Other attractions in the area include The Big Sheep, The Milky Way, Dartington Crystal, RHS Rosemoor Gardens, Clovelly with its steep, stepped cobbled streets and the market town of Bideford which is also the home to the Oldenburg for day trips to Lundy Island. In the evenings relax in the enclosed lawned garden or watch the sun go down from the decking with BBQ and seating.
The accommodation has many rooms featuring excellent views and offers FIVE bedrooms: upstairs is 1 large twin with en-suite bathroom with mixer shower head and WC. This bedroom also offers a 3-seater sofa and a TV/DVD. Also upstairs is 1 double bedroom with king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with mixer shower head and WC and a landing area with 2 comfy chairs and table. Both bedrooms and landing enjoy excellent views over the Burrows to the sea beyond. Downstairs is 1 double room with king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with shower cubicle and WC, 1 further double with far-reaching views and 1 twin with en-suite shower cubicle with WC. All bedrooms have portable TVs with built-in DVD. Bathroom: downstairs is a separate shower and WC. Feature lounge: with far-reaching views, open fire style woodburner, large TV, DVD and Freeview. Slate floored hallway leading to traditional style kitchen/diner: with dual fuel range cooker, fridge, dishwasher and microwave. Utility: with freezer and washer/dryer. Outside: enclosed garden with lawn, decking, seating and BBQ. Games room with table tennis, table football and dartboard. Amenities: parking for 3 cars. Bed linen, towels, electric, first basket of logs, wi-fi and full central heating included. Regret no smoking or pets. Location: estuary beach 5 minute walk, shops and pubs all within 20 minute walk. Arrival: 3pm. £100 security deposit payable directly to owner prior to arrival.
