A fabulous new 3 bedroom 2 bathroom garden apartment in Theseus Village, the latest village at the 5 Star Aphrodite Hills Resort. Beautifully furnished and equipped in contemporary style, this spacious apartment is fully air conditioned with an open plan living/dining room opening onto a covered veranda with table and chairs for outdoor dining.
Beyond the veranda is a large west facing terrace with sun loungers and, uniquely, a private plunge pool (which can be heated and with spa jets) with stunning views over a wide stretch of the coast and the Mediterranean particularly at sunset. The private enclosed garden at the side of the property is partially gravelled and is planted with shrubs and trees. The 2 communal pools in Theseus Village are less than 1 minute’s walk and the apartment is just a few minutes walk from the resort’s amenities including the Intercontinental Hotel, restaurants, golf, tennis, gym and award winning “Retreat” spa. There is also a Costa Coffee shop with free wi-fi , a 24 hour ATM, mini market and an exciting new children’s activity centre.
Situated close to the beach at Aphrodite's Rock, the legendary birthplace of the goddess, the historic port of Paphos is 15 km away. The resort is easily accessible from Paphos airport (14 km) and Larnaca airport (just over 1 hour). A large supermarket (open 7 days a week) has recently opened at Pissourri less than 10 minutes drive from the resort. Outside the resort there are numerous good restaurants in the local villages.

Every room has separate remote controlled air conditioning and heating. The apartment has both solar powered water heating and an immersion heater.
The apartment is close to the resort's sporting facilities (including championship golf course, internationally recognised tennis academy, fitness centre and horse riding) and to all the resort's leisure and other amenities and is thus ideal for both family and adult holidays. No smoking in the apartment please.

Immediately outside the living / dining room is a veranda and west facing terrace with a private sunken plunge pool (2.4 metres diameter) which can be heated if necessary.
The terrace has stunning views over a wide stretch of the coast and the Mediterranean and enjoys spectacular sunsets. The enclosed garden at the side of the property is partially gravelled and is planted with shrubs and trees.

The apartment is managed by a British team based on the resort who will meet and greet guests and are able to deal quickly and efficiently with any problems or queries which may arise.
A welcome pack and cot and high chair hire can also be arranged if required.
Conditions
Reductions may be available for longer term rentals, last minute bookings or parties of less than 6 guests. Bookings for part of a week may also be available. Please contact the owner for details.
A deposit of 20% is payable on booking with the balance due 8 weeks before arrival. A damage deposit of £200 is required. This to cover any damage but is otherwise fully refundable within 14 days of the end of the rental period.
Between October and April the pool can be heated on payment of an additional charge currently £50 per week.
The Paphos region


Cyprus’ excellent climate, beautiful beaches, warm, clear sea and child friendly and welcoming people are some of the reasons for visiting this most easterly island in the Mediterranean. However Cyprus also has numerous cultural and historical sites and beautiful inland country for walking, cycling and exploring, much of which is easily reached by car from Aphrodite Hills and which make it the perfect holiday destination for everyone. Roads are generally well maintained with signs in both Greek and English, car rental rates are reasonable and driving is on the left as in the UK.
The historic town of Paphos is only 20 minutes drive to the west of Aphrodite Hills. Bars and restaurants line its pretty harbour where a medieval fort hosts various cultural and musical events in summer. The town was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980 and the extensive archaeological site behind the port has wonderfully preserved Roman mosaics and a Lusigian fortress. At The Tomb of the Kings nearby are rock catacombs from the 4th Century BC. As well as offering a wealth of cultural experiences Paphos has the largest Water Park in Cyprus and a number of boat trips operate from the port. There is a lively night life with many bars and clubs situated around the town.
West of Paphos, at the lovely beaches of Coral Bay (40 minutes by car from the resort) all types of water sports are available. North of Paphos is the wild Akamas peninsula, popular for walking and Lara Bay where green turtles nest. Jeep Safaris are the best way to see this area. The fishing villages of Lachi and Polis have pretty seafront tavernas and are also worth a visit.
Just a few hundred metres east of Aphrodite Hills is Aphrodite’s Rock a photogenic spot where the goddess herself is said to have emerged from the waves. Pissourri is about 15 minutes further west on the coast road. Its pretty hilltop village has several excellent restaurants and tavernas and numerous facilities for watersports are available on the beach below. The ruins of Kourion lie a short distance further east. Turning inland is the village of Anogyra with Oleastro, an attraction giving an insight into olive growing and the manufacture of olive oil and other local products. There are a number of wineries to visit on the road north towards and beyond the village of Omodos and into the spectacular Troodos mountain area which is perfect for walking and cycling and where skiing is possible in the early part of the year.
There are many other fascinating and entertaining places to visit within easy reach of Aphrodite Hills which, combined with Cyprus’ excellent weather and the resort’s own first class facilities, make it the perfect year round holiday destination.
The Aphrodite Hills / Theseus Village area
Aphrodite Hills is unique in being Cyprus’ only fully integrated golf, tennis and leisure resort. The magnificent 18 hole championship golf course at Aphrodite Hills Resort hosted the finale of the 2010 PGA EuroPro Tour Championship. Overlooking the Mediterranean and designed by Cabell B. Robinson the course (Par 71/70 and 6,299m) is surrounded by forest and divided by a stunning central ravine giving players a unique opportunity to tee off across the ravine at certain points.
The course also features lakes, olive and carob trees and is regarded as one of the best and certainly the most beautiful in the Mediterranean. The Clubhouse with its premier Golf Academy, Pro Shop and international restaurant is a few minutes' walk from the apartment. There is also a separate 3 hole academy course for beginners, an excellent driving range and both chipping and putting practice greens. Coaching and tuition is available from the resort's golf professionals.
There are 3 other excellent 18 hole courses near to the resort at Secret Valley, Elea and Tsada. The Tennis Academy has 9 floodlit tennis courts (4 clay and 5 hard courts) available for play. A simple booking system operates through the spa and courts are usually available all through the day. Private coaching sessions with professional instructors are available and there are also weekly social tennis evenings.
Private lessons and group lessons are currently available for all levels of player including children. Lessons are offered in English and coaching is structured for different age groups. Tennis racquets are available for hire for general play and equipment is provided for academy sessions,
The resort has 2 separate beach facilities; The Cove just below the main entrance of the resort within walking distance of the apartment and Zias, 15 minutes by car or courtesy coach from the hotel. Sun beds, snacks and drinks are available at both. Pissouri Village (15 minutes by car) has an excellent beach for swimming and snorkelling and all types of water sports are available.
The resort’s amenities include the Intercontinental Hotel which has several restaurants serving a range of international cuisine. There is a well equipped gym at the internationally recognised award winning “Retreat” spa with its spectacular infinity pool, steam room and a range of beauty, massage and relaxation treatments available. The traditional style Village Square at the heart of the resort and 5 minutes level walk from the apartment has a variety of restaurants and a sports bar as well as a mini market, other shops, mini golf and a large children’s playground together with a 24 hour ATM.

Cyprus is well served by frequent flights from the UK, Ireland and Europe by operators including British Airways, Cyprus Airways, Easyjet, Monarch and Thomas Cook. Paphos airport with its very recently opened new terminal building is about 15 minutes by car or taxi from the resort.
Larnaca airport is just over 1 hour by car. Car hire is available both from the airport and from the resort. Taxis can be obtained from the Intercontinental Hotel. The road network in Cyprus is good and, as in the UK, driving is on the left
If guest wish to stay on the resort a car is not necessary (shuttle buses and taxis are available from the Intercontinental Hotel) but to explore the Paphos area a hire car is recommended for your stay or part of it.

From start to finish, a stress free booking and great holiday. The apartment is lovely, well appointed with plenty of space. The terrace area outside offers fabulous views and terrific outdoor dining. Really easy to hire cot etc for our baby and everything was already in the apartment before we arrived through kidstravelite.com Finally, the location is seconds from the communal pools and 5 to 10 mins walk from the village centre, with all it's family friendly amenities. Will have no hesitation booking again |

This apartment exceeded all our expectations. I found it on the Holiday Lettings website, and dealing directly with the owners was an absolute delight. The rental prices were also much less than those being advertised for inferior apartments by the 'official' resort rental company. The apartment is fantastic - inside it has everything you want and more. But it's the private outside space and the views which are exceptional. The undercover terrace and the poolside sunbathing area were our second home, with the added bonus of the side garden and its abundant rosemary bushes! The panoramic views over the landscape and out to sea were fantastic and the sunsets amazing. We're not swimmers, so the private plunge spa pool was exactly what we needed, but there's a 'communal' pool just over the road and we never saw more than three people using it. The apartment is on Theseus Village which is one of the closest to the village square, so you could even get away without hiring a car. But for shopping, sightseeing and airport transfers, a hire car is the best option. All in all I cannot recommend this apartment highly enough. The best recommendation I can give is that I booked to return within three days of coming home! |

My family and I were fortunate enough to be able to rent the above apartment during July 2011. The actual process of renting the apartment was uncomplicated and Siobhan was on hand to assist and answer any queries promptly via email. We opted to stay at Aphrodite Hills as we had previously stayed at the resort. On arrival at the airport in Paphos, we sent a text message to the on site representative who met us at the entrance to the resort, then escorted us to the apartment. On entering the apartment were overcome, to say the apartment was outstanding is probably an understatement, it was stunning. The 3 bedrooms are an excellent size and well appointed. The kitchen is well equipped with all mod cons. The best is yet to come, however. The view from the terrace out over the hills in one direction and the sea in the other is breath-taking. Watching the sun set over the sea with a drink is pure relaxation. Added to this you have the luxury and all the facilities of Aphrodite Hillls. 10/10! |
