About the home

With all you need for a stress-free & enjoyable holiday, Villa Thekatria has 3 spacious bedrooms with luxurious bedlinen to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There has been no expense spared, using beautiful marble flooring and tiling, with quality materials and fixtures & fittings throughout. Carefully designed & furnished inside & outside to make your stay relaxing and luxurious as possible.

The upper level has a twin & double room with shared bathroom. Zbed & cot. Both rooms have access to the upper terrace, with superb views over the pool & resort out to the sea. On ground level a large master bedroom with bathroom offers private access to the pool. The kitchen and dining area are open plan to the lounge. Laptop, WI FI & Air-conditioning throughout.

The main patio leading off the lounge & dining area is very spacious and designed to take full advantage of outdoor living with everything for a perfect holiday. The poolside area is furnished with chaise lounges & umbrellas for soaking up the sun. There are large comfortable rattan sofa & chairs, which is a great place to enjoy a glass of wine when the sun goes down with our brazier lit. A superb gas barbecue & a large table for 8 people for al fresco dining.

Villa Thekatria is managed locally by English ladies, they have a business on the resort and pride themselves on the high level of personal welcome and service they offer nothing is too much trouble for them. The comments we have had from every guest about our Villa so far have been wonderful and we are seeing many repeat bookings. Our Villa comes with the highest recommendations. We have five children of various ages and have tried to ensure the Villa is very family friendly but with a sense of luxury, with everything you could need for a fabulous holiday. It really is a superb villa to spend your holiday in the glorious weather.

All bedrooms are light and very spacious with built in wardrobes, drawers, bedside tables with lamps, mirrors, luxurious bedlinen, roman blinds,and cushions. Hairdryers provided.

Washing machine, iron and ironing board. Airer, pegs, linen basket.

Comfortable Mediterranean soft furnishings. Flat screen Sky TV, DVD, PlayStation, iPod dock. Marble dining table for six with leather chairs. The dining area and lounge open onto the pool through patio doors. Games & books.

The villa is finished with top quality materials throughout, show house accessories, marble floors, solid wood furniture, fully tiled bathrooms and granite work surfaces. Air Conditioning throughout. Radiators in all rooms.

There is a flat screen television in the lounge and one in the main bedroom with Sky TV. DVD player with a selection of films. Play station with a selection of games. Variety of books in the villa essential for your holiday reading! Board Games/playing cards.

With a private pool the villa is designed to take full advantage of outdoor living with everything for a perfect holiday. The main patio, which is very spacious leads off the lounge and dining area.The landscaped garden provides privacy and the villa is screened on all sides. The poolside area is furnished with designer chaise lounges and umbrellas for soaking up the perfect weather of Cyprus.

There are large comfortable rattan sofa & chairs, which is a great place to enjoy a glass of wine when the sun goes down with our brazier lit. You could be glugging ice cold draught beer, right here, right now, from the beer cooler, the ideal machine for all the beer lovers in the world!

The villa has a superb large gas barbecue and a dining table under the shady pergola suitable for 8 people to dine in comfort.

The upper terrace is also furnished with sunbeds and table & chairs, ideal for that quiet shady siesta or watching the sun go down over the sea.

Residents are requested not to smoke anywhere at the villa. It is strictly non smoking including the gardens and pool area.

Conditions

Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds.
All bookings subject to our Terms and Conditions. Euros accepted at prevailing tourist rate of exchange. Payment by PayPal, Cheque or Bank Transfer. All bank transfer/currency exchange charges to be paid. Booking form and deposit of 20% (non refundable) is required to confirm a booking. The balance is to be paid no later than eight weeks before commencement of the holiday. At the same time a deposit of £200 is required to cover possible damage. This is fully refundable within two weeks of your departure providing no significant damage and keys returned.

Usually Saturday but flexible subject to bookings. Guests will be asked to check in after 3pm on arrival and check out before 10am on the day of departure. This can be flexible if necessary depending on the arrival and departure times of other guests.

Everything you need for outdoor living.

The Paphos region

Paphos is well known as a tourist region of Cyprus. The days are made pleasant by the proximity of the sea producing a welcome breeze and warm evenings, whilst inland it gets cooler at night. he temperatures in Paphos range from between 8 to 17 degrees centigrade in the off-peak season and can reach up to 32 degrees centigrade during the months of June to October. However, Cyprus as a whole has over 340 sunny days each year.

The island history dates back to the Neolithic age. A few days on the island will help you realize that Cyprus enjoys a high European standard of living, while the cost of living is low. Paphos Town has many shops including Marks and Spencer’s and a large marketplace.

The Aphrodite Hills / Kouklia area

There are plenty of fantastic things to do in the local area.

Two private beach clubs, Zias sandy, children-friendly beach 15 min drive, or the Hotel offers a shuttle bus. Zias has a magnificent bar and restaurant, beach facilities with towels, sunbeds and umbrellas. The Cove a beautiful pebble beach is the perfect place to relax by the sea and enjoy a refreshing swim located just directly in front of the resort. Pissouri Bay 10 min drive an unspoilt bay perfect for swimming and snorkeling and has a range of water sports and lots of beach front tavernas.

Aphrodite Golf Course has been carved out of a 'forest' of carob and olive trees on two high plateaus divided by a dramatic ravine, overlooking the sea, across from the Rock of Aphrodite, the legendary birthplace of the goddess. All but a few golf holes have a spectacular view of the sea and from the start of the game golfers are introduced to the history and culture of the location with an 18th Century kiln that lies in the centre of the fairway of the first hole. It is a world-class, championship standard 18 hole, par 71/70 golf course, with a 350 metre double-ended driving range, including a 3 hole academy and superb short game facilities, designed by Cabell Robinson. The total course length is 6,299 meters, with hole 7 being the signature hole and one of the most spectacular par 3's in Europe. It really must be seen, the ride down to tee is straight out of Indiana Jones. To fully experience the course take a swing from the yellow tees; a shot requiring a carry of some 190 yards.

The Spa at Aphrodite Hills is pampering with a capital 'P', voted the best Spa in the Eastern Med. It has everything you need and more. The Retreat offers an outstanding fitness environment with state of the art equipment and an unmatched professional service. The gym equipment includes a full range of CV stations, resistance and free weights in addition there is an aerobics studio. The facility also offers a sauna, steam room and access to the roof pool with spectacular vanishing edge overlooking the Mediterranean.
Aphrodite Hills offers four floodlit tennis courts with the latest surface technology, coaches are on hand to help you improve your style. Courts are available for booking for up to one hour each day. Along with coaching, there are social tournaments and exhibition matches.

The new 5 Star Intercontinental Hotel offers a tempting choice of bars and restaurants, both casual and formal.
The beautiful village square is the focal point of daily life at Aphrodite Hills and a charming rendezvous for owners and visitors alike. Designed to reflect the unhurried atmosphere of a traditional Cypriot village and built from locally quarried stone, it stands at the heart of the resort overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

The village square has great choice of shops and restaurants, a wedding chapel and open spaces that invite you to relax and watch the world go by in true Mediterranean style. It offers a great selection of restaurants and bars. As well as the many dining options, the village square offers all amenities guests could want or need, including a bank, mini market, flower shop, travel agency, gallery shop. In addition to offering the best shops and restaurants, the spacious open-air area acts as the focal point for events such as traditional bazaars and other festivities.

The children are not forgotten with a 'Rainbow Kids Club' open 7 days a week for 3 to 12 years, with a large play area outside with slides/swings etc for the teenager there is a room with disco, table football, pool, computer games and internet access.

Aphrodite's Riding Club is a complete horse riding experience in the forest land of Lakkos tou Frango. The horse riding facilities and services incorporate livery stables and include a jumping and dressage area, outdoor sand school, turnout field, jumping equipment and naturally private and group lessons for all levels including pony rides for younger equestrians.

Waterpark in Paphos has the largest selection of attractions and waterslides in Cyprus - everything from breath taking black holes and kamikaze slides to a relaxing lazy river and fun.

The Troodos Mountains are not far away and offer outstanding skiing condition January to March; it is also a great day out for walking or cycling in the spring. At the top there are some very enjoyable tavernas, well worth a trip, with breathtaking views.

Paphos airport is 15 mins and Paphos town is 20 mins away, Larnaca airport 90 minutes. Next to Aphrodite Hills is a small town called Kouklia with great tavernas and bars, also Pissouri is a beautiful place and has lots of excellent tavernas for fantastic meze or fish, to stay on the resort a car is not necessary but if you want to explore the area a car is recommended, but there are abundant taxis available and the hotel offers shuttle buses to the beach, Paphos and water parks.

"We have just returned from a fab holiday. The villa was spotless and has all the comforts of home.

The house is well laid out and nicely decorated. Its incredibly well looked after and has everything you need. The outside areas are nice and private and has more garden space than a number of other villas of a similar size that we saw.

The furniture both inside and out was great quality. Another thing that was a real plus were the beds. At last a villa that we have rented where you also get a decent nights sleep. They are big enough with good mattresses. Great sleep from night one...

We would definately rent this villa again. Its close to the village square and its numerous restaurants. The childrens play park was a regular fixture for our kids and having a 2 year old it was a bonus that he could easily walk the distance down to play. It really was just a few minutes walk. Our kids have big age gaps 15, 9 and nearly 3. There is quite literally something for everyone at this resort. The staff are also very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Everything was done with a smile.

I would recommend this place to anyone of any age. I also cant recommend this villa highly enough. Jane was a pleasure to deal with from my first enquiry and very prompt in all her responses.
