Apartment is fully furnished with a well equipped open-plan kitchen. All linen for bedroom and kitchen is provided for 2 people. If other people are also staying, linen will be provided at CH25 pp. The delightful village co-op supplies all food needs. A deep bath with ample hot water feels wonderful after skiing or hiking all day!

Further details outdoors

In summer, parking is available across the street. In winter, parking is available at the Telecabine, 100 metres away.

But as Anzere is well-serviced by public transport, it really isn't necessary to have a car to get there. Trains to Sion run frequently, and the bus station at Sion is outside the front door of the railway, with buses leaving every hour or so to Anzere.

Village is picture pretty with restaurants and all services including a Wellness Centre with an indoor-outdoor heated swimming pool, sauna and steam rooms. Entire village has public wifi!

Further details

In the winter high season, December through March, rentals are for 7 days at a time, starting on the Saturday. Summer rentals are from April through November and can be at any time. Key to the apartment is held at the Zodiac Hotel in the village square, so when you get to Anzere, your first stop is the reception desk to pick up your key.

The Swiss Alps region

The Valais area has an almost continental climate... so much so, the valley is known as 'the fruit basket', where the sun ripens apricots, pears, oranges, apples, etc. So most of the time, you can expect deep blue skies full of sunshine. Sion, the starting place to get to Anzere, has thousands of years of history with medieval castles rising on top of hills. Nearby Martigny is a Roman town, with an amphitheatre and vestiges of Roman ruins throughout the city, not to mention a world famous art gallery. Restaurants abound in the area, but most of all, it is a wine region where in summer, the vines stretch from one side of the valley to the other.

Anzere itself was a 'purpose built' ski village, so all the accoutrements for a ski holiday are readily accessible... not to mention the 'posh' town of Crans Montana on the next ridge. The village of Anzere itself has now grown to be a summer escape as well, with wonderful hiking trails from 'easy to difficult' radiating from the centre. The jewel in Anzere is undoubtedly The Wellness Centre, an indoor-outdoor pool with spa, steam, and massage facilities available all year round. Nightclubs and restaurants are plentiful, but there is also a Co-op Supermarket if you just want to stay in after a day of activities.
