The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region

Provence-Cote d'Azur is blessed with great natural beauty. The snow capped alps line the eastern side and the foothills seem to tumble into the glorious blue mediterranean sea that gives the region its name.
Along the coast glamorous names like Monaco, Nice, Canne and St tropez stand out but in between these famous towns are gorgeous towns and villages such as Villefranche with it's picturesque harbour and Menton where you feel you're already in Italy.
Take a 15min boat ride from Cannes to the magical Iles de Lerins where the 'Man in the Iron Mask' was supposed to have been incarcerated and where you can walk through dense forests of eucalyptus and pine. Charming perched villages such as Eze, St Paul de Vence, and Peillon are accessible and offer stunning views and a labyrinth of charming medieval streets to explore.
An accessible and cheap train service connects you to the whole of the Cote d'Azur coastline from the fascinating port town of Marseille in the west to beyond the Italian border via Monaco in the east. The Train des Marveilles from Nice takes you on a breath-taking journey weaving in and out of the foothills of the alps following the magical coastline.

Guestbook for Residence Le Vauban Begonias
"Antibes is a lovely place for a holiday, the old town is wonderful, and your apartment was perfectly situated for our regular visits to the old town or along the harbour front. The enjoyed reading from the selection of books available and the games were well used; I'm now a Uno expert! The well equipped kitchen was exactly what we needed.
Thank you very much for making your flat available to us and all future travellers." D Hueser (July 2010)
"Just wanted to thank you for the rental of your great apartment. It was perfect for us - in terms of space and location - and it was nice to come to place that carried basics like salt and sugar!! Much appreciated."
T Hemani - Tuan (June 2010)
"Thank you for letting us your apartment, It suited us very well. Nicole was very friendly and knowledgeable...we have rented other apartments and she is by far the best agent that we have met. J and B Bol (Nov. 09)
"Thanks for a great time, organisation spot on, the housekeeper was excellent...the most impressive thing was the cleanliness... shower and kitchen first class...thanks once again we can't wait for the next time" F and S Musgrave, Cheshire, UK (Oct 09)
"We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay in this spacious and light apartment... with views of the sea, fort and old Antibes... The shops were a short walk away, my three year old liked to go to the boulangerie to get breakfast! We were met by the housekeeper who was very helpful and kind. The flat had milk, coffee and tea when we arrived and was exceptionally clean. It was fully equipped for our stay. There is parking but its a nice walk into the Old Town of Antibes past the railway station and port. I would recommend this apartment to a friend. All in all we didn't book for long enough! As for Antibes and the Cote d'Azur, what can I say, its my favourite place to go!!! Moules, frites and a glass of Bandol Rose in the sun! " - T. Kaldor, UK ( July 2008 )
