About the home

Villa BellaVista is a superbly appointed, elegant, Provencal style holiday home with sweeping views from the Maritime Alps to Antibes. It is bright and airey.The beautiful, illuminated swimming pool and the lovely garden with its covered terrace provide a tranquil base for enjoying a true Cote d'Azur experience. It is toddler friendly - ideal for children and adults alike.

The villa is located within the quiet, gated and secure estate of Les Restanques de Vaugrenier, just 15 minutes from Nice Airport and between Nice and Antibes. The villa is superbly located for all the activities in the Cote d'Azur such as the many excellent golf courses, water sports, beaches, sightseeing, entertainment, shopping - everything from village markets to malls and giant supermarkets, restaurants and nightlife. Activities as diverse as museums and art galleries to the Monaco Grand Prix, horse racing, the Cannes Film Festival and the Juan-les-Pins Jazz Festival are at hand.

Villa BellaVista is new, bright and spacious. The walls are cream and the floors are of cream colour tiles. It is decorated throughout with bright lively pictures. Upstairs is a master bedroom with a double bed, en suite bathroom and walk-in closet. There are two further bedrooms with twin beds, a shower room and separate wc. A cot is also available. All bedrooms have quiet efficient ceiling fans for the comfort of guests.

Downstairs is a fourth bedroom with twin beds, an en suite shower room and separate wc. The sitting room is equipped with superbly comfortable sofas and armchair, plus a TV with full Sky package, access to hundreds of European channels, and a DVD player. It exits to the terrace through two sets of French doors. They both make the sitting room light and airy and enable the garden to be seen clearly.

The dining room is very elegantly furnished for eight people to dine in comfort. A high chair is provided.

The delightful and practical kitchen is fully equipped with a large American refrigerator dispensing ice and cooled water, a ceramic hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, spin dryer and plenty of cookware, crockery, cutlery and glasses. There is a superb view of the Baie des Anges from the side door.

The villa has plenty of cupboard space and ADSL Broadband is available for internet access. For the winter, the villa has central heating. All bedrooms have quiet efficient ceiling fans for cooling. A child stair safety gate and a cot are provided.

Further details outdoors:
Outside the terrace has a table and eight chairs for dining al fresco while enjoying the view of Antibes. There is a large Webster kettle barbecue to complement the outdoor living mode. .

The pool, which can be illuminated at night, provides plenty of surrounding space for sun lounging. It is surround by a security fence for safety. This is removable under our guests responsibility. The spacious garden is planted with many species of Provencal flora and is amply equipped with furniture for relaxation...

There is free parking for two cars in the estate road.

Guests also have access to the 25m estate swimming pool, sun terraces, and boules court.

Further details

Linen and towels provided (no linen provided for cots). Property is cleaned and towels and linen changed once a week. Additional cleaning and changes can be arranged.

Pool has a safety fence surrounding it. This can be removed under the responsibility of the client.

Conditions

Extra cleaning is available on request.

Electricity is charged by meter, read upon arrival and departure.

For the comfort of all our guests, we request no smoking inside the villa.

The property is let on a weekly basis, Saturday to Saturday.
Arrivals and departures on other days can be arranged. Please email or telephone for more details.

The rental price is per week and includes:
- Bed linen and towels (weekly change)
- Cleaning (once a week)
- Baby cot and high chair if required. Linen is not supplied for cots.
- Garden and swimming pool maintenance

The Antibes / Biot area

Trips
The excellent A8 auto route provides access to Italy in the East while to the West there are many resorts such as St Tropez to visit. For those prepared for a longer day there is Avignon with its Papal Palace within reach. Inland the mighty Grand Canyon of Verdun in its National Park can be visited via Grasse.
Cannes, Antibes and Nice are within half an hour and Monte Carlo about an hour. In contrast are the picturesque villages of Biot - five minutes away, Mougins and Tourettes-sur Loup.

Shopping
The Rue d'Antibes in Cannes is a must for elegant small shops as are the distinctive glassware shops in Biot. In contrast, is the large and exciting shopping mall of Cap 3000 by Nice Airport. Visit the weekly street market in Biot and the daily flower market in Nice, or the Carrefour hypermarket in Antibes. Variety is the theme.

Our extended family stayed in Villa BellaVista in late June 2010. We found the location of the home provided convenient access to all the main costal sites including Nice, Monaco, Cannes, Antibes. The house layout was very functional and the 3 bathrooms made it very easy for each of the branches of the family have their own privacy. The land and house were very well cared for and the view was better than the photos on the website. While other reviews complained about the pool fence, we had a 2 year old in our party and for us it was a life-saver allowing us to relax and not to worry about his safety every minute. Supermarkets were very close and UK Satellite allowed us not to miss any World Cup games! The house was relatively close to the motor way, but none of us found it obtrusive to the view or noticed any road noise. There is also a nice National park across from the entrance of the complex which is heavily wooded with old cork trees and provided us with a way to work off all the pastries.

I would definitely recommend this property and would revisit it on my next trip to the area. My only recommendation is stop by the supermarket on the way to the house (or soon after) to pick up even simple staples you may need (tea/coffee, kitchen roll, toilet roll), but overall this should be expected with this type of rental.

We stayed at Villa Bella Vista in April 2010. We found it to be very clean and comfortable with everything we needed to enable us to enjoy our stay there. Eight of us travelled together and there was ample space and facilities to relax without feeling cramped.

The location was ideal for our needs as we wanted somewhere centrally located, from where we could easily drive to a variety of locations either on the coast or inland. We were not at all disturbed by noise from the motorway (as suggested by a previous reviewer), nor did we find the swimming pool safety fence an inconvenience.

We found making the booking arrangements very easy. The owner is quick to respond and very willing to provide extra information if requested. We found a fantastic 'bakery' just outside of Biot and every day started with an early trip to buy fresh bread and pastries for breakfast. They surpassed anything that we could find elsewhere in the area.

We also enjoyed several late afternoon games on the boules court at the bottom of the estate.Boules are provided in the villa.

Villa BellaVista is a amazing place to spend your holiday. The house has everything that you need on your holiday. The ocean view from the house is fantastic. If we plan a holiday to Cote d'Azur again, we would 100% choose to stay at Villa BellaVista.

We had a wonderful time at the Villa BellaVista. The Villa was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The pool and yard were beautiful with superb views. The Villa was very centrally located within short driving distances of many wonderful sites.
