On the coast, choose from miles of beaches or watch the world go by at one of the elegant open-air cafes.
Take a boat trip from Cannes to the Island St. Margeurite and see the tiny cell where the mysterious Man in the Iron Mask was imprisoned.
Drive the spectacular coast road, the Moyenne Corniche from Nice to Monte Carlo and see the casino, the luxury yacht marina and the Grimaldi family chateau.
Inland is a paradise for walkers and lovers of nature, with glorious mountain scenery, medieval villages and dramatic river gorges. The choice is all yours: spend a lazy day by the pool with a barbecue for supper or drive to Italy for a wonderful day out.

Antibes / Biot area
Take the opportunity to visit the fascinating local towns and markets for fine produce, antiques and original craft work. Biot, Villeneuve-Loubet and Antibes hold weekly markets where you can try the local specialities : especially olive oil, honey and homemade preserves and the aromatic provencal wines, all at very reasonable prices. Don't forget to try : 'Tapenade' - a paste of olives, capers, anchovies and olive oil ; and 'Socca' - a pancake made from chick-pea flour and highly seasoned with salt and black pepper, served hot straight from the wood oven.
For handicrafts, Biot is known for its workshops where you can watch the artisans create original pottery, jewellery and the famous bubble-flecked glassware. For original paintings, head for St Paul de Vence or Mougins, magnets for established and aspiring artists of talent. If you'd like to create your own perfume or learn more about how perfumes are made, visit Molinard or Fragonard at the perfume capital of Grasse.
The choice is all yours: spend a lazy day by the pool with a barbecue for supper or drive to Italy for a wonderful day out.

"What a fabulous time we have had. The Villa is spectacular with a view to match.......and what fun we've had on our adventures out ! We would really recommend Biot for an idyllic evening, great restaurants and bars. Antibes has a wonderful yacht festival in the last week of May : a real eye opener with boats from around the world. A memorable trip. Thank you. We'll be back !! " Joan Hutchings & Julie Ryan, Enfield, Middlesex, UK

The market in Ventimiglia (Italy) is well worth a visit. If you have time, take a trip to Monaco and try the Cafe de Paris next to the Casino." The Hague Family, Belgium.
"Fabulous accommodation with most spectacular views from sea to snow-capped mountains. Biot and Monaco a must to visit as is Antibes (food market well worth attending). Vaugrenier Park is well worth strolling through. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable stay and a return visit very much on the cards !!!" Pam and Mike Crace, Hertfordshire, UK.
