Places nearby worth a visit are the charming, old-town of Antibes and its port, the hill-top village of Mougins, with its art galleries and restaurants, the monastery on the Iles de Lerins, and the designer shops on the Boulevard de la Croisette in Cannes!
Antibes / Juan les Pins area
The town of Antibes - Juan-les-Pins provides a wide range of provisioning, including local shops, boulangeries, cafés and restaurants. There is also a large supermarket (with very inexpensive wine!) just 700 metres away so you can stock up with lots of goodies at the beginning of the week.
The westerly-facing beach of Juan-les-Pins looks over the bay of Golfe-Juan, towards the historic islands of Iles de Lerins. In the evenings you can enjoy dramatic sunsets over the ancient, red-rock mountains of L’Esterel beyond.
This is such a playground for water sports and yachting or, you can just enjoy a lazy day on the beach! Other sports facilities include tennis, golf and fishing, or why not take a jog or roller blade down the seafront?
In high season the beach is even livelier at night when a range of beach bars and restaurants open up to give you a true flavour of the French Riviera.
Juan-les-Pins has its own train station, so you don’t necessarily need a car, and you can catch one of the double-decker trains to the famous towns of Antibes or Cannes on either side – or why not take a train journey along the dramatic Cote d’Azur coastline?
How to get there
By Car – Antibes Juan-les-Pins can be easily accessed from the A8 autoroute and the N7. The villa is located a short distance from the N7 and close to the town centre.
By Air – Nice-Cote d’Azur is the nearest international airport - approximately 15 kilometres away. There are daily flights from the UK with British Airways, British Midland, Easyjet and Jet 2. There is a regular bus and train service from the airport to Juan-les-Pins town centre.
By Train – Eurostar runs from London to Paris city centres and then the high speed TGV service runs from Paris to Nice.

Further details indoors: This character, 3-bedroom villa with beamed ceilings looks quite new, but it is actually one of the older properties in the area.
Downstairs there is a living room with sofa, TV, video and radio; a dining area with seating for 6 people; a fully equipped Provencal-style kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher; a downstairs WC; and large French windows which open out to a spacious dining terrace.
Upstairs there is a master bedroom with double bed, TV and DVD player, doors to a large balcony, an en-suite shower-room with a good shower, antique handbasin & WC; the adjacent bedroom has twin beds and doors to the balcony; the third bedroom has a single bed with an additional single bed underneath. There is a shared bathroom with bath, shower over, hand basin and WC.
Further details outdoors: Outside there is a handy shower/washing machine room, which you can use when you come back from the beach! The villa has a garage for one car and enclosed parking for a further two. The gardens are fully enclosed with a large terrace, a lawn area, and fig and palm trees.

Pets are accepted in this villa upon request. A baby cot is available upon request. The end of stay cleaning charge is included in the rental. Bedroom and bathroom linen for up to 5 people is included in the rental. Additional linen is available for 12 euros per person, paid directly to the owners Winter heating is at an additional cost according to the meter (please ask for details). The owner requests a damage deposit of 300Euros on arrival and this will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.

Fantastic - the photos of Villa Mimosa we had seen prior to our arrival didn't do it justice. It was simply perfect for our 3-week stay. The owner was friendly and approachable and when we had some cold weather, she even rang us to make sure we had been able to work the central heating. It was a good size for our group (4 adults + 1 toddler) and very well-equipped. And despite all the wonderful, tempting things to see and do on the Cote d'Azur, on some days we were just perfectly content to stay at home in the villa - the atmosphere was so relaxing......it was a perfect holiday base, fantastic location within walking distance to shops, beach and train station.
