The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region
The nearest airport is Nice Cote d'Azur International which is the 2nd biggest airport in France. From there it is a 20 minute taxi ride to Antibes; there is also a bus service straight from the airport. The public transport links along the coast to Cannes, Nice and Monaco are excellent, either by bus or train.
Antibes / Centre Ville area
Antibes is known for its yacht marina, the largest in Europe, with its International Quay, which is home to some of the biggest ’Megayachts’ in the World, its Provencal market, Picasso museum and medieval Ramparts. It has its own sheltered, sandy beach, and is within walking distance to several others.
The Provencal fresh produce market runs every day in the summer and is not to be missed. In the evenings it turns into an outdoor restaurant scene, sharing the space with local artists’ stalls. Just behind the market is Antibes’s Cathedral, the setting for outdoor concerts in the summer months.
The Old Town is full of lovely cobbled shopping streets, pavement cafes and countless restaurants to choose from.
Thursdays is market day in the Old Town with thousands of stalls spread all over, selling anything from bikinis to carpets. On Saturdays, Place National is the setting for an Antiques market.
Nearby Juan-les-Pins is a major holiday destination, with a casino and nightclubs
How to get there
Fly to Nice International airport - Antibes is just 20 km from the airport. Cheap flights from the UK available from Easyjet.co.uk. Local 200 bus runs regularly between the airport and Antibes for 1 Euro. There are always local taxis available - fare should be about 55 euros.

Guestbook for Cap View
Date of Stay: September 2009 The two of us had a lovely week in the Cap View apartment. It is in an excellent central location close to the Salis Beach, the Old Town and the shopping areas. The apartment is nice and modern and had everything we needed, the air conditioning was a great bonus as well as the internet access. We enjoyed our breakfast everyday on the balcony with its great view over the bay. Michelle was really helpful and we would certainly book Cap View again.
Date of Stay: August 2009 We spend the last week of August in this apartment and we enjoyed it very much. The apartment is - as described - located very centrally in Antibes with the beaches, the old town with its museums, plus restaurants and shops within walking distance. The apartment is very spacious for two people and the balcony has a very nice view over the Mediterranean and Cap D'Antibes. And even if the balcony isn't very big there is still enough space for two to dine and enjoy the sun.
Date of Stay: July 2009 Charming apartment - light , airy, quaint with fine views over the bay. Location is as good as it gets with close proximity to both the beaches and the old town, and its various restaurants, markets and general joie de vivre. Nice wee balcony where you can dine or be dazzled by the sun (or both ). WIFI (free) was a big boon to us too. The only downside especially for the elderly ,would be the stairs. We loved the place and will surely return.
