Home description
Le Grand Bleu is a brand new, luxury apartment in a gated residence, on a hill in Antibes. From the generous terrace, you have a beautiful view to the swimming-pool and the sea. The buildings are surrounded by lawns and plants. A lot of landscaping work will be done during the winter. There is a parking place that comes with the apartment, but you can also, on agreement, get access to a closed garage.
The 55 m2 apartment is on the 2nd floor of the building. The combined living/dining-room, with an elegant open kitchen, opens to the terrace and the outdoors dining-table (can seat 8 people). The kitchen is equipped with all modern amenities, everything brand new. The living-room has aTV, a stereo system, and an iPod docking centre. The terrace, with an electrical barbecue, runs all along the apartment. The two bedrooms both have doors opening to the terrace. The master bedroom has a 160 cm wide double bed, while the other one has two single beds that can either be apart, or put together form a double bed. The white and blue bathroom features a bathtub, with a shower. The separate wc is in the hallway.
The residence offers two swimming-pools, one for adults and one for children - only a minute away. On the apartment terrace, there are light-weight armchairs that you can bring along to the pool.
The centre of Antibes, the Old Town, and the beaches are easily accessed by bus or car. You can even walk to the nearest beach, in less than 30 minutes! If you are a golfer, there are many golf courses within a 30 minute drive.

The French Riviera really has it all - sun and sea, art, food, wines, shopping and sports. Tour the museums and galleries, or go shopping in Nice, Cannes and St Tropez. Go skiing in Isola 2000 or Auron - it is only 1,5 hours from Antibes. Or go hiking in the magnificent mountains just above the coast. Go visit all the wonderful vineyards. There is something for everyone! The area is also famous for it´s temperate climate. The summers are hot, the winters mild. Average temperatures in summer are 23-27° C, and in winter 13-16°.
Antibes area
Antibes is one of the most famous, historic and beautiful towns on the French Riviera. The charming Old Town is just 5 minutes by car or bus from the apartment. The narrow streets are lined with artisan shops and wonderful restaurants. Don't miss the wonderful 'Marche Provencale in the centre of the old town. It is a fantastic mix of colour, and the sights, sounds and smells of the region. Have a seat at a pavement cafe or restaurant, and enjoy the genuine French atmosphere. Wander on toward Port Vauban, one of the largest marinas of the Mediterranean, with its millionaire yachts. A 30 minute walk takes you to the nearest beach where you can take a swim, improve your sun-tan and admire the beautiful people! Antibes is perfectly located for touring the whole of the Côte d´Azur, from St.Tropez to Monaco and beyond. The main coastal highway (A8) is easily accessible, and there are buses and trains to take you along the coast.
How to get there
Nice airport is the closest (20-30 min by car), but you can also fly to Toulon (1,5 hours by car). Easyjet, and most of the main airlines fly in to Nice. Ryanair offers flights to Toulon from Bristol and London Stansted, Air France and British Airways from London Heathrow. If you come by car, take the A8 motorway and get off at the Antibes exit. A third option is to take the train to Antibes.

Further details indoors: The living room sofa bed is 120 cm wide, so sleeps 1-2 persons. There is an iPod docking centre in the living-room.
Further details outdoors: The main swimming-pool measures 15 x 7 meters. There is also a children´s pool just next to it. The poolhouse is equipped with showers and a wc. There are no sunbeds around the pool, but in the apartment, there are light weight sun chairs that you can take with you.

Conditions
Strictly no smoking except on the balcony. Refundable damage deposit of €500 required on arrival, to be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection). 30% of rental fee to secure booking. Balance paid to the owner´s account 50 days prior to arrival. Damage deposit (€500, but GBP or USD are OK) and linen fee (€20/person) paid on arrival. There is a lift in the apartment building providing wheelchair access.
