The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

Antequera itself is easily accessed from Malaga or Granada airport being 35 minutes and 50 minutes drive from each respectively. Alternatively you can travel by bus or taxi. Collection from the airport maybe available at a discounted rate over taxis subject to availability. Wheelchair access is possible for ground floor level. Contact owner for more details.


Antequera area

Perfect for couples or families. Casa Lemon Tree is situated in the historical residential area of San Juan, offering tranquillity and privacy, yet is so close to the town centre. San Juan has the advantage of readily accessible local amenities, wonderful views of the Torcal mountains, and inspiring country or town walks on the doorstep.

San Juan is the patron saint of Antequera and the magnificent church (30 seconds walk) thus an important one for the town. The castle overlooks the house and the entrance is a 4 minute stroll away. Here too is the awesome Santa Maria church with a superb restaurant in the plaza in front for al fresco or indoor dining with views of the famous Peña mountain and the towns Roman ruins.

Uniquely designed for comfort, space, and privacy, Casa Lemon Tree is ideally situated to offer the best of Antequera, for a short holiday or long stay. (It is also the only house to offer a refreshing plunge pool in the area!).

Antequera boasts an excellent all year round microclimate, backdrop of the Torcal mountains & nature reserve. Tranquility, rich history, lovely walks, sports & leisure. Easy drive or coach ride to Malaga, Cordoba, Ronda, Seville, Granada, Sierra Nevada ski resorts.

Everything in Antequera is walkable from the house: wonderful historic architecture & culture, abundant cafes/bars/restaurants, quality shops, weekly market, public outdoor and indoor pool, sports centre, golf course, colourful nightlife. Nearby wolf refuge/zoo. Luxury Spanish living with town just a stroll away.

Golf - Antequera Golf Course is a 5 minute drive away. Lovely club house and restaurant in beautiful surroundings. All the renowned golf courses of the Costa del Sol are available for a day trip out.

Costa/beach - The beaches of the Costa del Sol are reachable in a 35 drive starting with Malaga and Torremolinos. There are beautiful lakes within a 40 minute drive, offering bathing, fishing, pedalos, and stunning scenery. Ventas offer dining, or take a picnic and relax under the shade of pine trees.

Malaga airport is 35 minutes drive by car. Coach service, train, or taxis are available. Granada airport is 50 minutes drive away.

The pretty private courtyard has a feature lemon tree at the centre, with flowers and potted plants. The plunge pool is 3x2x1meters square, and ideal for all ages. There is a raised dining patio next to the plunge pool and furniture provided for dining around the courtyard (in or out of the sun, as desired). A staircase leads up to the spacious sun terrace with it´s view of the castle, sunbeds, and hot & cold shower. The upstairs bathroom and bedroom can be accessed directly from here, with a door to a further staircase leading back down into the kitchen and lounge.

Towels and bed linen changed weekly. Ironing and babysitting available at reasonable rates. Owners live locally and are on hand for any advice or guidance on town facilities or daytrips.
