Home description

The property is situated on the edge of the old town, 5 minutes walk from the main square. There is corner shop nearby selling everyday groceries. It is located in a cobbled street accessible only to pedestrians. However, there is parking very close by. The town of Arcidona is quiet and distinctly Spanish with few foreign influences. It has a beautiful town square and all the amenities of a small town. It is well sited for trips to the nearby National Park of El Torcal and the great cities of Cordoba, Malaga, Seville and Granada. The old Roman town of Antequera is only 15km away. There is also a well known golf course at Antequera.
It is an ideal location for a walking holiday, a cultural tour, golf, or simply relaxing. The house is very secure with blinds in all the rooms. It is probably best suited to a couple who want a quiet weekend but in a town rather than in a completely rural environment.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

The house is located in the picturesque town of Archidona. It is conveniently situated for visits to Granada 40 mins away, Cordoba, one hour, and Seville one hour. The surrounding countryside is a beautiful mixture of verdant plains and craggy mountains lending it to many outdoor activities including walking, birdwatching and cycling etc. The lakes of Iznajar and El Chorro are within easy reach for water sports. The beaches of Malaga are an easy journey. There is a popular ski resort in the mountains near Granada.

Antequera / Archidona area

There are interesting antiquities within Archidona itself as well as Antequera, Granada and Seville. There is a golf course nearby in Antequerra. There is also a large shopping centre here where films are shown in English.

How to get there

The property is equidistant between Malaga and Granada airports. While it is advisable to hire a car we can arrange a taxi service direct to the prop[erty for around 40 euros. Both Malaga and the far smaller airport of Granada are served by the major car hire companies. There are taxis and a bus service in Archidona.

The property is recently renovated with all new fittings. Upstairs there is a master bedroom which leads on to a terrace with table, chairs and sun loungers. This area can be exposed to the sun or there is a retractable toldo which can provide shade for the whole terrace. The second bedroom has two single beds. There is a bathroom with bath, shower and toilet.
Downstairs there is a shower room with toilet, a good sized fully equipped kitchen. There is a hallway which leads to a small living room with TV and DVD. Off the living room there is a dining room with seating for four.

The house has small outdoor areas. Upstairs there is a terrace which is ideal for dining and relaxing. Downstairs there is a small patio leading to the shower room. There is one main entrance leading on to the cobbled street.

The property is available from between 165GBP to 215GBP per week depending on the season. Upon confirmation of booking a 20 % deposit is requested with the balance payable one month before arrival.

The property is available from a rate of 195 pounds per week from January to Feb and Nov-Dec inclusive.The price for Mar- Jun is 245 pounds and also Sept-Oct. The price for July and August and Christmas and the New Year is 315 pounds per week.

It is possible to rent the house on a daily basis for 40 pounds per day.
