Our property in ALAMEDA is just 50 minutes from Malaga Airport. It is in an ideal spot from which to explore the famous cities and towns of CLASSICAL SOUTHERN SPAIN. Cordoba, Seville, Ronda and Granada are all within two hours driving distance. Antequera is 20 minutes away.
The spacious three storey townhouse is set in a small rural 'pueblo', surrounded by olive groves. The house has been completely modernised and is on three floors with a roof terrace at the top, with fantastic views of the surrounding area.
On the ground floor there is a double bedroom with en suite and shower and another room, currently used for storage.
On the first floor is the kitchen, complete with full sized cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave and dishwasher and lounge/dining room. The lounge has a bed settee if required.
On the second floor are two further bedrooms, a double and a twin, and a family bathroom with bath, shower and bidet.
On the third floor is the utility room which houses the boiler [for heating water] and the washing machine.
Also on the third floor is the roof terrace with jacuzzi at one end and garden furniture and barbecue at the other end.
Alameda itself has a lot to offer. It's a typical bustling Andalucian town, with lots of traditional shops, as well as two large supermarkets, several restaurants and many bars. The town square buzzes with life as families sit out enjoying a drink with friends late into the spring and summer evenings. There are two open air swimming pools as well as a library and museum.

The Andalucia region
Andalucia is the most southerly region of Spain. Malaga province where the house is situated has everything for the tourist, beautiful mountains and lakes, lovely seaside resorts, white walled towns and traditional customs which date back hundreds of years. There is a fiesta for every season, from the Holy Week celebrations in Seville to the 'Open Patios' in Cordoba, where local people open their 'gardens' to the Public. Every town has their special saint and local traditions and the warm summer nights are perfect for mingling with the crowds and joining in with the festivities.
Alameda is a small bustling town, one of many dotted about in this fertile valley in Andalucia. It is surrounded by olive groves on all sides and many of the locals work in the factory one one side of town. It has an open air market on Sunday mornings.
It is connected to three other towns in the area- Mollina, about two miles away has a very large market on Wednesday mornings, held in a local hotel. people come from miles around as the stalls are many and varied. Fuente de Piedra, another town nearby is worth a visit for its flamingo lake which is famous in the area.
Antequera , the nearest large town, is very beautiful and successfully mixes very old and modern buildings. It has a castle with a fine view across the countryside. Nearby is 'El Torcal' with its lunar landscape and strange collection of rocks. This is well worth a visit. There is a good golf course in Antequera about twenty minutes away by car from the property.
There are also many lakes in the area where you can relax or go for walks beside the water
