Lovely very large split level apartment with private courtyard (lemon tree), plunge pool, outside eating areas. Enormous farmhouse style kitchen with bar & seating for 6. Ideal for couples or families.

Chemist, groceries, café, & magnificent church of San Juan just around corner. Further café with outside seating 3 mins walk facing beautiful 17th century chapel with exterior fresco. A perfect private setting with all amenities of town at your disposal.

Lovely spacious split level accommodation in the historic zone to sleep 4. High walled private quarry tiled courtyard terrace with own plunge pool, al fresco dining areas, large rustic chimney barbeque and central feature lemon tree. Sunbathing area (beds provided). Delightful exterior area for day and evening enjoyment.

The property is converted in authentic Catalan design using rustic materials. Large and stylish family bathroom contains twin white pedestal sinks with full wall indent mirror, large terracotta arched walk in double shower with body spray, white push button WC.

Two double bedrooms at either end of the property for privacy. Two large sofas in central lounging area, flat screen TV with DVD, DVD library and English book library. Marble step up through arch to enormous farmhouse style kitchen featuring wide raised dining bar seating and cooking area: large stainless steel fridge/freezer, 5 hob s/steel catering cooker, s/steel dishwasher, washing machine and 'Antique' stone sink. The pretty private courtyard has a feature lemon tree at the centre, with flowers and potted plants. The plunge pool is 3x2x1meters square, and ideal for all ages. There is a raised dining patio next to the plunge pool and furniture provided for dining around the courtyard (in or out of the sun, as desired).

Antequera itself is easily accessed from Malaga or Granada airport being 45 minutes and 50 minutes drive from each respectively. Alternatively you can travel by bus or taxi. Wheelchair access is possible for ground floor level. Contact owner for more details.

San Juan is the patron saint of Antequera and the magnificent church (30 seconds walk) thus an important one for the town. The castle overlooks the house and the entrance is a 4 minute stroll away. Here too is the awesome Santa Maria church with a superb restaurant in the plaza in front for al fresco or indoor dining with views of the famous Peña mountain and the towns Roman ruins.

Golf - Antequera Golf Course is a 5 minute drive away. Lovely club house and restaurant in beautiful surroundings. All the renowned golf courses of the Costa del Sol are available for a day trip out.

Costa/beach - The beaches of the Costa del Sol are reachable in a 35 drive starting with Malaga and Torremolinos. There are beautiful lakes within a 40 minute drive, offering bathing, fishing, pedalos, and stunning scenery. Ventas offer dining, or take a picnic and relax under the shade of pine trees.

“lovely stay” We arrived on Good Friday and got lost among the revelling church going locals whilst driving through the town but were finally greeted by our hosts Rupert and Mel who were really friendly and went over and above expectation with their local knowledge of places to eat and visit. Rupert was true to his word and was available whenever we needed him. His eating suggestions were spot on and we'll definitely return. Loved the walk-in power shower and particularly well equipped kitchen :-) Response: We very much enjoyed your stay. The weather was obviously dire, but you were undeterred and got the best of all that was available. The terrace was clearly unusable given the rain which was a shame. It is usually immaculate, and adds to the enjoyment of Lemon Tree, but prior cleaning became self defeating! We were particularly pleased you so enjoyed the restaurant just up the road (14 euros for three people must be a record!). Thank you for your smiles in spite of the weather, and we would welcome you back anytime. Best wishes

“Absolute bliss and utter relaxation” We stayed at the apartment for be week in September. We were impressed even before we arrived as Rupert and Melanie's emails had always been really friendly, welcoming and very helpful. They were exactly the same when we met them and made us feel at home in the apartment and gave us useful information about the town. The apartment was so lovely (in particular the completely private terrace with plunge pool), that we only left it twice to get food from the supermarket. The rest of the time we spent relaxing and enjoying the fact that there was no need to move anywhere at all. We would go back in a heart beat and hope to do so next year. We have stayed in lots of places over the years and this is definitely our favourite.

“perfect villa for relaxing” Had a lov|ely week staying here. Warm welcome from owner Rupert,who was helpful when needed during our stay. Also arranged taxis transfers to and from the airport. The villa was very private, lovely and quiet and more spacious than anticipated. It was well equipped and had the most beautiful garden and plunge pool to cool off in. The typically traditional spanish town was only a 10 minute walk away. Would certainly go back again and would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing break.

“Great Apartment!” On arrival was met by Rupert who showed us around the property and the amenities and then went on to give us some tips on the local area,eating out, local area etc. The Lemon Tree is a ground floor level rustic property,with a plunge pool,BBQ,sun loungers and seating area.The apartment has 2 good sized bedrooms,bathroom,big kitchen and lounge with ample furnishings, the property also has a good iitenery. Antequera is a fantastic town with lots of historical buildings,there are also quiet a lot of shops,bars and restaurants,there are also plenty of local supermarkets[big &small] to buy your food and drink.Our tip is just to get into town explore and enjoy,if you need any help or advice Rupert & Melanie are on hand to assist. Overall we had a very enjoyable 7 days at the lemon tree and would definatly like to return in the future.

“Comfortable accomodation in the beautiful town of Antequera” We stayed at the Lemon Tree Apartment for 10 Days in August and really enjoyed the experience. The apartment is comfortable with all the necessary amenities and is a pleasant although hilly walk to the town center taking about 15 minutes to complete. Really enjoyed the plunge pool after a day out sightseeing or walking the town. Lemon tree is situated in a quiet and safe residential area and it is within easy driving distance of all the main towns on the tourist trail, Ronda, Cordoba, Granada and Malaga. Rupert and Mel were very helpful and provided some valuable tourist information.

“Fabulous place to stay.” We spent two fabulous weeks at the Lemon Tree in August 2011. We spent ages looking at accommodation on holiday lettings and liked the look of the pictures of the Lemon Tree, and it certainly lived up to expectation. It is a really charming place to stay. It is rustic, clean, well furnished with lots of space within the apartment and a lovely private patio area with plunge pool. The pool was extremely welcome on the very hot Andalucian afternoons and evenings, and we certainly made good use of it. Rupert and Mel are fantastic hosts, extremely helpful and keen to point you in the right direction re places to eat, places to see etc. The apartment is within walking distance of the town centre and a number of bars and restaurants. If you prefer to eat at home there are several good supermarkets within a short driving distance and the kitchen has all the equipment you need to make a meal. If you get tired of Antequerra Seville and Cordoba are within easy driving distance. About 50 minutes drive away is Lake Guadalhorce and Embalsa del Guadalteba - a really beautiful area worthy of a visit. You can swim in the lake, sunbathe on the shore or take out a kayak or pedalo - if you spend the day there take a barbecue as there are lots of barbecue pits its to use and enjoy! We really enjoyed our time at the Lemon Tree and we are already thinking of a return visit next year.

“Excellent Rental in Antequera” We were very happy to stay in this apartment, and would recommend it heartily. The kitchen was well equipped, and we enjoyed the outside space. Rupert was very helpful without being in any way intrusive.
