The property is converted in authentic Catalan design using rustic materials. Large and stylish family bathroom contains twin white pedestal sinks with full wall indent mirror, large terracotta arched walk in double shower with body spray, white push button WC.
Two double bedrooms at either end of the property for privacy. Two large sofas in central lounging area, flat screen TV with DVD, DVD library and English book library. Marble step up through arch to enormous farmhouse style kitchen featuring wide raised dining bar seating and cooking area: large stainless steel fridge/freezer, 5 hob s/steel catering cooker, s/steel dishwasher, washing machine and 'Antique' stone sink. The pretty private courtyard has a feature lemon tree at the centre, with flowers and potted plants. The plunge pool is 3x2x1meters square, and ideal for all ages. There is a raised dining patio next to the plunge pool and furniture provided for dining around the courtyard (in or out of the sun, as desired).
Owners live locally and are on hand for any advice or guidance on town facilities or daytrips.

Antequera itself is easily accessed from Malaga or Granada airport being 45 minutes and 50 minutes drive from each respectively. Alternatively you can travel by bus or taxi. Wheelchair access is possible for ground floor level. Contact owner for more details.
The Antequera area

San Juan is the patron saint of Antequera and the magnificent church (30 seconds walk) thus an important one for the town. The castle overlooks the house and the entrance is a 4 minute stroll away. Here too is the awesome Santa Maria church with a superb restaurant in the plaza in front for al fresco or indoor dining with views of the famous Peña mountain and the towns Roman ruins.

Golf - Antequera Golf Course is a 5 minute drive away. Lovely club house and restaurant in beautiful surroundings. All the renowned golf courses of the Costa del Sol are available for a day trip out.
Costa/beach - The beaches of the Costa del Sol are reachable in a 35 drive starting with Malaga and Torremolinos. There are beautiful lakes within a 40 minute drive, offering bathing, fishing, pedalos, and stunning scenery. Ventas offer dining, or take a picnic and relax under the shade of pine trees.

We arrived on Good Friday and got lost among the revelling church going locals whilst driving through the town but were finally greeted by our hosts Rupert and Mel who were really friendly and went over and above expectation with their local knowledge of places to eat and visit. Rupert was true to his word and was available whenever we needed him. His eating suggestions were spot on and we'll definitely return. Loved the walk-in power shower and particularly well equipped kitchen :-)
We very much enjoyed your stay. The weather was obviously dire, but you were undeterred and got the best of all that was available. The terrace was clearly unusable given the rain which was a shame. It is usually immaculate, and adds to the enjoyment of Lemon Tree, but prior cleaning became self defeating! We were particularly pleased you so enjoyed the restaurant just up the road (14 euros for three people must be a record!). Thank you for your smiles in spite of the weather, and we would welcome you back anytime. Best wishes

We stayed at the apartment for be week in September. We were impressed even before we arrived as Rupert and Melanie's emails had always been really friendly, welcoming and very helpful. They were exactly the same when we met them and made us feel at home in the apartment and gave us useful information about the town.
The apartment was so lovely (in particular the completely private terrace with plunge pool), that we only left it twice to get food from the supermarket. The rest of the time we spent relaxing and enjoying the fact that there was no need to move anywhere at all.
We would go back in a heart beat and hope to do so next year. We have stayed in lots of places over the years and this is definitely our favourite.

Had a lov|ely week staying here. Warm welcome from owner Rupert,who was helpful when needed during our stay. Also arranged taxis transfers to and from the airport.
The villa was very private, lovely and quiet and more spacious than anticipated. It was well equipped and had the most beautiful garden and plunge pool to cool off in.
The typically traditional spanish town was only a 10 minute walk away. Would certainly go back again and would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing break.
