This traditional cottage was built around 1900 and has been refurbished in more recent times to incorporate two bedrooms on the first floor. One double and one single room. The kitchen, bathroom and living/dining room are on the ground floor.
Anstruther is a perfect base for visiting the 'home of golf' St. Andrews and the surrounding fishing villages of the East Neuk.

The Fife region


The Kindom of Fife on Scotland's east coast is world-famous for its golf and some of Scotland's best scenic attractions, with its own distinct identity.
The coastline of the East Neuk of Fife is scattered with picturesque fishing villages, perfect for relaxing walks at any time of the year. For more serious walkers, The Fife coastline is a very special environment which has distinctive rock formations, delicate flora and a varied wildlife. The Isle of May is home to vast numbers of Puffins, accessible by boat. The May Princess leaves from Anstruther Harbour sailing daily between April and September.
The Anstruther area
Anstruther is the main fishing village in the East Neuk, making it an excellent base for your holiday at any time of the year.
With a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, seafood is a popular feature on the menu. The town is also home to the famous Anstruther Fish Bar.

Anstruther is most easily accessible by road. There are good bus links from Edinburgh, however if you prefer to use the train, the closest railway station is Leuchars, approximately 23km away. There is then a bus service that will bring you to and from Anstruther.
Edinburgh airport is around 65km hours drive from Anstruther and there are various car hire companies at the airport such as Avis, Europcar, Hertz and Enterprise.

Weekly rentals from 3 pm Saturday - 10 am the following Saturday. All rentals include central heating and hot water, electricity and gas, bed linen and towels.
On booking, payment of one third of rental is required, or rental in full if less than 6 weeks before the start of the holiday. Payment accepted by cheque or bank transfer. A breakages deposit of £50 will be returned after the property has been inspected.
