Set in a quiet traditional part of Cellardyke (part of the burgh of Anstruther) with a fabulous outlook over the sea, the house has recently been renovated to a high standard.

3 bedrooms, a kingsize and 2 doubles, (which can be adapted to twins if requested) a dining room and a large living room, fully fitted kitchen and full bathroom with power shower

Fully equipped to a very high standard. Ideally situated for nearby restaurants and pubs, but also on the Fife Coastal Path, and only 10 miles from St Andrews. Many nearby golf courses, and other attractions in the East Neuk.

There are 2 double or twin rooms on the top floor and a bathroom with the middle floor housing the living room with a log burning fire, TV, another bedroom with a sofa bed (double) and a cloakroom.
The ground floor has a spacious entrance room and a dining room and to the rear a well fitted kitchen with cooker, fridge freezer and a washing machine.

Further details outdoors:
All rooms to the rear have views over the suntrap patio garden with BBQ and there are excellent sea views to the front from the living room and front bedroom looking over the Firth of Forth towards the Isle of May.

Conditions

Refundable breakages deposit of £100 is required upon final payment, to be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).
Full payment must be made 4 weeks prior to date of booking
25% of rental cost at time of booking to secure booking. this is a non-refundable deposit.

The Fife region

The East Neuk is an area of Fife in Scotland famous for its several ancient fishing villages of which Cellardyke is one with a beatifullly quaint harbour. The locals refer to this area of Fife as the "Canny Corner" because of it's agreeable micro-climate and wonderful situation.
Cellardyke is a continuation of Anstruther which is a very pretty town with boats in the harbour and interesting shops and restaurants. It is famous for its prizewinning Fish and Chip shop which is only a short walk from the house. There is a large variety of good restaurants available in and around the area.

Both Cellardyke and Anstruther are situated on the Fife Coastal Path and our house sits directly on the walk making for enjoyable walks in stunning scenery whether long or short. (Pittenweem is 2 miles, Crail 4 miles)

The Anstruther / Cellardyke area

Anstruther hosts a number of music festivals throughout the year. Pittenweem has an amazing Arts Festival in August each year when a great number of Artists exhibit and open their homes to display their art. Crail is also a lovely Fishing village which has many galleries and one or two interesting shops and cafes.

St Andrews is only a short drive away (15 mins) and is a fabulous destination with many attractions including lovely beaches, a Castle, good shopping, some great restaurants and of course some great Golf Courses.
Cambo Gardens in nearby Kingsbarns have 70 acres of woodland carpeted with snowdrops and spring bulbs open to the public -

This area of Fife is a mecca for golfers with around 20 golf courses within a 15 mile radius from the house including The famous Old Course. In addition there are another 6 courses within St Andrews there are championship courses at Kingsbarns, St Andrews Bay, Crail and Levin. There is also a super 9 hole course in Anstruther.

The area is famous for its bird life especially on the Isle of May and there are daily sailings from Anstruther Harbour. Other attractions include Kellie Castle, Falkland Palace and The Secret Bunker. It is easy to escape into the country with picnics or to visit farm shops and cafes.

Edinburgh is within easy reach by car or by rail from Leuchars (30 mins journey time) travelling over the famous Forth Rail Bridge, Dundee is a 25 min drive and Perth and Stirling a 60 min drive.

The house is easily accessible by road, 85 miles from Glasgow and 45 miles from Edinburgh by travelling north over the Forth Rd Bridge.
The house is about an hour's drive over the Forth Bridge from Edinburgh. It is about 40 minutes from the Tay Bridge. The nearest rail station is Leuchars.
Edinburgh Airport is only about 15 minutes from the Forth Bridge. A direction sheet is available.
