Sea View Lodge Guest House is located at Anse Possession on the northwest of Praslin, overlooking the beautiful Curieuse Island. This stylish bungalow has astonishing views of the deep blue ocean and is perfect if you are looking for total relaxation.

However, if all of this calm becomes too much there is easy access to various activities including hiking, scuba diving and many other watersports. It is also only 10 minutes drive to Anse Lazio, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

The Praslin region

Of all the Seychelles islands, Praslin which is the second largest island is the most popular with tourists and it is not hard to see why. Its beautiful scenery includes primeval forests, soft white sand beaches and crystal-clear turquoise waters, often voted the best in the world.

Praslin is rich in history and legends. It was 'discovered' in 1744 at a time when it was used as a hideaway by pirates and Arab Merchants. It is also the exclusive home to the famous Coco de-Mar coconut which exists nowhere else in the world.

Idyllic weather, beautiful rainbow sunsets and countless species of flora and fauna make this island an ideal relaxing getaway.

Anse Possession area

Anse Possesion is a pretty, narrow beach with a beautiful view of Curieuse Island. This is where the French claimed possesion in 1768. Anse Lazio which has been repeatedly voted the best beach in the world is only 10 minutes drive away and it is strongly recommended that you pay a visit if only to view the positively astounding sunsets. Drop in on the Bonbon Plume restaurant which sells good Kreol cuisine and fresh juices.

The best beaches for SCUBA and snorkelling are Anse la Blague and Anse Volbert or Cote d'Or which also serves as the main tourist centre for the island. Fishing and sailing are widely available, as are boat trips to neighbouring Seychelle islands. Bikes can be hired and most of the island can be explored in this way. Hiking is also highly recommended.

How to get there

British airways run flights to Mahe Island and from there it is only a short internal flight or boat trip to Praslin.

Taxis and Buses are readily available in Praslin as well as car, bike and jeep hire. Much of the Island can be explored on foot.
