The house is a very modern house, built in 2002, 300 meters from the lakefront, with a 180° view on Annecy's lake. It has 7 large picture windows on first floor and all 4 bedrooms have a large view on the lake. All equipments are available, including heated private pool. There are two dining table, one inside and the other outside with a modern gas barbecue. There is a nice garden (More than 2000 square meters), garage, and parking for 3 cars. There is also a large room for chidren (50 SQM) with all sorts of games, as table tennis. There are also 2 additional beds for children.

The house is located in Sevrier, a very nice small village, located 3 kilometers far from Annecy. Bicycles are available. It needs only 5 minutes to go to the lake by foot. Swimming pool and private petanque field are available. All commerces are available 5 minutes far from the house by car, with a supermarket in Sevrier, 10 minutes far from the house.

The Rhone/French Alps region

Rhône Alpes is one of the most interesting regions with both winters stations and sommer stations.

Travel

Annecy airport has regular links with Paris Orly airport.

Geneva airport is the next closest - 50 minutes by car, and the best one to use. Lyon is the next best, as coaches depart from the St Exupery/Lyon airport to Annecy.

The TGV from Paris takes about 4.5 hours.

Car hire is not essential as you can access most of the lake area by bike or ferry (April - October) and local buses from and to Annecy run regularly during the day.

Annecy

The beautiful old town of Annecy is only 3kms going North along the lake, and a very pleasant cycle ride away (10 mins). Talloires and Menthon St Bernard are 2 lovely villages across the lake, accessible by car but also in summer with the local boat service.

The small town of Sevrier, which is 5 mins by car has all necessary amenities: supermarket, bakeries, newsagents, banks, restaurants.

Water-skiing and rowing (Lake at 300 meters with very easy access.

Skiing

A few local family resorts are only 35 mins by car: le Semnoz (very good for cross-country skiers and half-day ski, excellent for beginners), Seythenex, Notre-Dame de Bellecombe, Arreches en Beaufort. A bit further, 1 hour by car if you leave before 9am, are The 3 Valleys, and Chamonix. So it is the advantage of this place, you can change resort every day, depending on the weather, the skiing level of your family and friends...or just stay down hill and enjoy Annecy.

"A wonderful destination"

The house has an elevated position which provides a wonderful view and setting. The accommodation is well presented and fully equipped. We were 5 singles and found the property to be well sized for our needs, but it could easily take a larger number. It is located some 2 or 3 Kms away from the old town but it is a simple cycle ride along the lake or a drive along the 'old' road to reach the beautiful town of Annecy. I am very happy to recommend it based on our experience.

"Good, but little things let it down"

We rented Chalet Moderne for a week in July 2012. The Chalet is located on a hill above Lake Annecy about 5km from the town and has splendid views of the lake and surrounding hills. It is within walk… More

Listen to the critics is the best way to be still better...
Therefore, since our guest came in July 2012, we have bought new wine glasses, and some new plates and dishes...
Everything is OK,and has always been OK with the showers in the three bathrooms.
Some linen and towels have been replaced
Unfortunately, two small flats were under construction in 2012 just 200 meters below the house, but there will have no more crane in 2013. New construction does not affect at all the 180° view we have from Annecy le Vieux on the left, and the small lake on the right.
All together we have received about 80 guests from all over the world, in the past ten years, and we have a fantastic golden book with plenty of congratulations as from Nick Giles (Australia): "A quick note to say how much we enjoyed our week at your wonderful house... Il cannot think of anything that we could recommend changing about the house..."
or from Karen and Harry Hoyle, from Great Britain : "A wonderful gathering of grand parents, children, and grand children, together for a wonderful week. All ages groups from 8 years of age, to 72 years of age loved the villa,view,and pool..."
Lot of our guest came severall times, even from USA, Norway or Denmark...
and we receive each year about 30 to 40 enquiries when we have only a few weeks available in the summer season.
